As I said in the title, im looking forward to buy a PS3 with the money I received on christmas. Altough, I don't want to buy a new television.
Is there a way to connect the PS3 to my computer screen, wich only has DVA plug? My monitor doesn't have speakers.
I head there were some USB to HDMI adapters, wich are made to plug computers to TV but can they work on the other side with PS3
Thank you for helping me.
PS:I didn't find any thread/forums about PS3.
Get an HDMI cable and connect it through that?
For video, use a HDMI to DVI adapter/cable and plug it in to your monitor. For audio, use the PS3's RCA cables and plug it to your external speakers (might require an RCA to 3.5mm adapter depending on speakers).
During initial setup of the PS3, set the the video out put through HDMI and audio output through RCA.
You'll some kind of audio though, as your monitor doesn't have speakers. I plug my headphones into my monitor, not sure what options you have though
Humm, I know there are some usb cables on the PS3 if I plug my headset in will it work you think? Thanks for the answer!

do this
I'm pretty sure your monitor needs to support HDCP as well.

I've been using this at Uni as I couldn't lug my TV there. But yeah, this works flawlessly. So long as this;

Is also true for your monitor. You can't really do much on a non-HDCP display.
If you hack your PS3 you can connect it to your PC similar to remote play via PSP/PS3 however you have more control.
It's called Open Remote Play.
Looks pretty terrible though
