The game has a semi-frequent free update cycle - just this month (feb) they added two new maps and a CTF game mode. Combat is done in ships known as "vectors" on 360 degree maps. You can switch between "vector mode" where you fly like a jet (only two speeds - fast and OMGBBQWTF fast), and hover mode where you can hover for dueling, aiming, quick turns, etc. AKA "fly through things in a cool way: the game" There is a learning curve. The game is pretty easy to understand being an arena-shooter of sorts, but the high-speed nature of combat and the nessecity to avoid obsticles gives the game a modestly high learning curve. You'll crash into things constantly and get your shit pushed in by vets for the first two hours of play. After that though you get enough of a handle on things to hold your own - this is when the magic really starts to happen. There are 8 or so different weapons which can be loaded out will a variety of modifications and you can hold two different weapons at a time on your vector. You also have passive abilities, and active ones. All of these can be switched/modified in mid-match. Here is an apcoming game mode we are working on, who will be available at the end of March. The principle is simple: set of two teams that attack / defend a huge bomber whose mission destroyed the camp attackers. The mode is carried out in stages to destroy different parts of the bomber (control tower, shield, nuclear missiles etc ...) as quickly as possible. Here are the first visual search Bomber! I bought this game for my friend and myself and I did not regret it oh god this game is super fun
So is it kinda like Star Conflict meets Hawken? Me likey....:3
Yeah it takes a while before you learn to not crash and die all the time. Once you get the hang of it though its awesome
I really wanted to see Oculus Rift support for this game, but haven't heard anything about it which is a bit disappointing to me. The game itself seems really amazing though.
I was loosely following this while it was in development and have been thinking about picking it up. Really my biggest concern is that because its a multiplayer only arena shooter, and a pretty niche one at that, that it'll be hard to find servers to play on. Other than that the game looks really interesting.
I got it on release and holy fuck crashes everywhere.
Whats the best viewpoint in this game? 1st or 3rd person.
We should get an FP Steam group up for this, it'd be cool if we could play sometimes As it stands there are only like 3 active servers at a time and all of them are >100 ping for me so it's a little frustrating
Whats the best viewpoint in this game? 1st or 3rd person.
What you prefer really Most people seem to think 3rd person is better because you get more situational awareness of enemies and obsticles, but I personally like 1st person more. In first person I lose some situational awareness but I can aim much better in both my weapons and manuvering my vector in small spaces. Plus it looks cooler :v:
