Ok, I'm just wondering what the best high-res pack is for half life 2 and the episodes. I want the half life 2 feel (but not the ugly feeling you get from Fakefactory) but in high-res, you know something that does these games justice :) I'm trying to throw everything i can at my new system since i might as well make use of it.
If there's anyway to have the Fakefactory maps without his textures that would be cool! HDR in half life 2 would be epic :D
I think FakeFactory's Cinematic Mod 4.0 was the last one before the addition of his new... interpretations of characters.
So you think i should just play it normal then?

Install fakefactory 4's prop materials for a good start
if you don't have OCD you could consider also using its textures since(while not quality texture work) it does raise the bar for a lot of the lacking textures in the game

Half-Life 2 needs a quality texture pack. So many talented people on Facepunch and yet i don't think anyone has made a high-res pack :( Any reason Valve doesn't include very high-res textures i mean common :P
