What does it mean when a friend's 'last online' status shows a different time in your friendslist (i.e. 20 minutes) than on his steam community profile (i.e. 32 minutes)? Is there any connection between this and blocking / appearing offline, or anything of the sort?
Thanks in advance,
Chief
I think it has something to do with when it updates. When you go onto their profile you're immediately requesting the most recent time, while your friends list just puts the last time it updated his status

Thanks for your quick answer. I see what you're saying, guess it can be attributed to faulty internal connections in the code then. So how come it only registeres inaccurately (or rather too late)?
This is one of my most hated problems on steam.
Some people who are online or even playing tf2 will still show being offline for X hours.
If a friend removes you while you chat he will instantly will appear offline.
Dota2 has the same crap with people showing "main menu" but if you right click them it clearly shows "Watch Game".
