This is going to the most stupidest post I have ever made, but please bear with me. So I got Wolfenstein: The New Order, and amongst the new enemies was the Panzerhund, German for "tank dog". But, it had hit me the instant I laid eyes on it that the movements and behavior is undeniably similar to big cats, like tigers or lions. Am I the only one to have noticed that? Perhaps Bethsada should had called it... Panzerkatze: armor-cat??

Panzerhund sounds more threatening.
Perhaps to create some sort of "umphf" within of fear of any character or player who would face down a faceless artificial predator?
I was expecting to come in here having to tell you how it's not a dog but rather a dog's brain in a mechanical body, but now I don't know what to say as that's not what you're asking.

My words of wisdom for you, my friend: "False advertisement can produce unexpected surprises, either for good or bad."

Well, this should just have been a post in the Wolfenstein thread, but dammit, you're making me feel bad. I AM an Ecologist, and that didn't twig for me. The Panzerhund's behaviour is similar to a playing dog's, but does also have a lot of similarities with that of big cats too, you're right.

Well, you're right that I was too harsh on Bethesda. Shoulda edit right now.
I thought you were going to ask if the Panzerhund really existed. Like, in real life.

Well thank God it didn't. Otherwise, we all be techno-racists ruled by military robots and super soldiers. And a mad scientist who has the power to turn you into mince meat at will. Or at least, use your brain as a battery for some robot machine. Again, thank God we beat the Nazis to the bomb.
Yep. When you shoot a Panzerhund, you're really killing a neglected dog. You monster.

That looks fucking hilarious, I think I'd die of laughter if I met that on a battlefield somewhere :v:
