What are you guys thoughts on this?
[sp]In my opinion it couldn't be more shitty, how can anybody put MINECRAFT in front of Doom, World of Warcraft, Oblivion, etc?
Also, no WC3, Morrowind, Starcraft, Age of Empires II, etc. It's just a big middle finger to the PC community.[/sp]
I like lists and all but 100 is so unnecessary and will [I]always[/I] be flawed. There's no way Skyrim is the 2nd best game ever made. Infact in a lot of ways, it's worse than the previous games (coming from someone who started the franchise with Skyrim.)
In a way I can see why you would put minecraft higher then doom.
Sure, Doom has done a lot for the FPS genre, and we're quite grateful for that.
But on the other hand, Minecraft made quite a scene with the whole Indie thing, and it's overal modability.

Come on, how autistic you have to be to put Portal 1 in front of Portal 2? Portal 2 is a direct upgrade
How you even put Dota 2 and League of Legends in front of revolutionary games? Like HL, WC, etc, etc. I play Dota myself, sure, it's addicting, but it isn't the top 17 game.

This is why a "top 100 games" is silly. A lot of work for something no one will take seriously.

If they actually made a decent list, I'm sure most people would take it seriously.
That's like making a Top 100 Most Important People in the World and putting Maradona infront of people like Martin Luther King Jr.
Doesn't it seem silly to make a top 100 games list which is based entirely on the opinions of other people?
Like, my top 100 games list would be different as anyone else's list would.
Jesus, Mass Effect 2 at #1? I appreciate that they put some modern games at the top instead of Deus Ex and Half-Life as usual, but Mass Effect and Skyrim weren't the right modern games to choose.

As if Dota 2 and LoL aren't revolutionary games that have shaken and continue to shake the entire industry (aware the concept of a Moba is not particularly new but its mainstream success is, especially this level of insane success. Iirc LoL is the most played online game in the world?)

It's a good list. The order is very debatable, but the games listed are mostly good titles.
Mass Effect 2 is my second most favourite game on PC though, so I know where they're coming from... And my most favourite game on PC hasn't been released yet (hint: it starts with a G).

As much as "Here's a list of 100 PC games we really think are awesome!"

Why is FF7 on the list? I mean I love it, but doesn't the first page banner say "greatest PC games"?
And FF7 PC was a pretty terrible port that took much fan work to be something good

I didn't like it that much but ME series clearly deserves a lot of respect for what it is
People prefer different genres, you won't say FIFA 13 is better than GTA IV unless you like sport games more than open world games.

You're right, it's kinda hard to notice a revolution in gaming that is happening right now, especially nothing different happened on my country. Sorry.
At first I didn't want to post because these top lists rarely satisfy everyone but ME3 on number 8 is insulting to many games before it.

I absolutely love open world RPG's with a yeshomo passion
but skyrim has many tearing flaws that really ruin it as a whole. I loved it, spent over 400 hours on it but there are just too many issues for it to honestly be that high in the list
Why number these lists if they're not in order? Just give us a list of 100 without any numbers so people don't get annoyed that a certain game is above another game.

Skyrim is unfinished.
What I love about it is the modding community, it makes it a whole other game. I don't think I would play more than 20 hours of Skyrim if it wasn't for the mods.

My main problem is that there is more than a single game from a series. Like, for example: Inclusion of Both C&C:Gold and Red Alert. Or Assassin's Creed 2 and Black Flag. Or both Company of Heroes games (1 is better, btw, kthx). Also, 3 Monkey Island games (they are great games, but come on). But point is, just pick one. This leaves more space for the rest.
Also, Final Fantasy is not a PC game. It's a port. Which is a whole different story.

But AC2 is on the list? It's at 87
Personally I'd slam Ocarina of Time or Shadow of the Colossus at 1&2 but that's just me.
