What is Styx: Master of Shadows?
Styx: Master of Shadows is an infiltration game with RPG elements from Cyanide Studio.
What is the story?
You must guide Styx through the Tower of Akenash. It's home to some tree that spews a golden sap that's supposed to give people wicked powers. Your goal is to obtain this special golden sap while assassinating, sneaking, stealing, and dodging enemies.
What is the gameplay like?
It's an infiltration/stealth based game. You can sneak, poison, extinguish, kill, and assassinate enemies as you make your way to the source of the magical tree sap. Some of the magical powers Styx has is being able to make a clone of himself, turning invisible, making smoke clouds, and more. Styx is a very small goblin, and doesn't do well with fighting, however his superior stealth skills give him the upper edge when taking down opponents.
Ok, show me some gameplay.

Interesting, I've never heard of this, but I love stealth games, I'll probably buy it, hell for once it'll be a nice change of pace to play as something that isn't a burly human.
It should be noted that this is a game by Cyanide Studios, so it will either be a flawed gem or complete and utter shit.
I would suggest waiting to see what reviewers and the like say about this before springing for it.
Yep, let TB and Jim Sterling taste the apples first. After all that's kinda what they do.
Regardless, hopefully it's merely a flawed gem and not complete junk.
this looks neat, you never see a game from the bad guy's perspective, or at least just not the good guy's side.
hopefully it doesn't suck.
Finally got around to installing this.

Everything is maxed, but you can already see some jagged edges. I'll play through it and write up a review.
Isn't this set before Of Orc's and Men?
I've been meaning to look into that for a while, how is that?
Bought this game on the Xbone. It's really good, I recommend it!
Yep, tried it and shit's fun as hell, worth getting.

It's a prequel, set quite a long time beforehand (seeing as Styx is fuckold in oOaM)
I actually had never heard of this or oOaM up until like last month where a friend of mine was obsessing over it. She kinda likes weird shit so I was a little apprehensive but watching gameplay releases it looks like a really damn decent stealth game, anyone able to vouch for it?

So far the only problem I've really had is that there's no quick save button. That and the AI can be pretty "meh" but for a $23.99 game I wouldn't expect much more. It felt kind of boring during the tutorial area, but once you get out of it the game gets super fun.
Oh wait, you were talking about oOaM weren't you. Oh well, my response is for Styx.
I saw this some time back and thought it looked amazing, i'll definitely be picking this one up soon. Seems like what Assassin's Creed wanted to do before ending up as just a third person brawler basically.

F5 to Quick Save, F9 to Quick Load.
It doesn't say so in the options but it's still there.
Thanks for reminding me about this, it looked really neat. I like the look of the protagonist.
