I believe that nowadays gamers might feel that some games do not utilities exciting new ideas that will make paying customers think "Wow! I've never seen this before!". In other words, games, as much as they can be fun and polished (or not), are overusing same basic building blocks. For example: DayZ, Rust, H1Z1, The Forest, Don't Starve, The Long Dark and many others, less popular, are using the Action/Survival building blocks to make the game. Some do it better, and in more fun way than others.
Gameplay-wise, some games do come up with amazing story, or somewhat refreshed gameplay features, but the games themselves will always circle the same gameplay style that never changes.
In survival game, it will be for example, storing food and fighting off creepy enemies.
I think, and some might agree, that it is caused because of the fact that there are not much of inspiring or rather interesting genres mesh-up lately. Meshing up genres is the most practical way for coming up with new ideas, which is hard already as it is.
Meshing up genres supplies wider diversity of possibilities for the developer. It might attract gamers from either of the genres and often it reveals uncharted field of ideas, so the initial feedback from the customer side will be comparing the game to bad games of a genre - thus sentencing it to fail.
In contrast, bad mixing will produce unpleasant time for the gamers. For example, misused elements of one genre that are placed in a game of other genre could get the players the feeling of unpolished and undetermined game, as extra credits suggest.
What do you guys think? How can game developers do more to supply fresh ideas and games to the market?
Or the trending topics will overcome creativity trials?
What mesh ups do you think will work very good, and we haven't seen much of them before?
I am really interested in developing this kind of brave new games that will take games further and beyond the regular gameplay style we see often, so I made the following indiegogo project to help it come true.

I really keen on seeing new games that have the guts to show something new, in the terms of genres combinations.
On this note, I want invite you to look through indie games in your favorite online or hard copy (if indie games are sold there) and find games that might feature unseen types of gameplays.
Those are the games, that in my opinion, we should support the most.
