• The Dota 2 Emporium - 1/4 April, May Edition

[IMG]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26976530/a/dota2thread/dota2header.png[/IMG] I need to write up a proper post for this, but here's the long and short Dota 2, much like TF2, has it's own Steam Workshop, complete with in-game compiler and resources for all the heroes who can be modded/cosmeticifieid. Yes, that's a word now. Valve has compiled a rather nice[URL="http://www.dota2.com/workshop/"] resources page for Dota 2, available HERE[/URL]. Spudnik over at Polycount has a set of concept sheets, [URL="http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=124501"]featuring the heroes stripped down to their base models.[/URL] Feel free to use this thread as a WIP thread, somewhere to link your finished creations, etc. Anyone think we need a new banner? Maybe featuring the Blacksmith guy?

Yeah, it doesn't look as visually appealing as the other heads ... The base one has darker marks. The Voidkeeper one has the gem thing. The Bindings of the Rift has, well, the bindings. And the Amalgamate one has crystal parts. This one just looks bland from a top view, I hope you get what I mean.

For those in the previous thread thinking the jugg mask was a DK shield, we actually tried it, but the tribal designs just weren't working well with DK so we went with the original concept.

It needs to be smaller if you were to go through with that. It actually looks great from the top view, and pretty good in the loadout screen.
That's really nice! Perhaps trim the dragon's beard and curve the ears so he has room to see?

You could try to rework the textures and turn it into an elaborated metalic shield.

People wanted to see it tried on DK though so here we go XD. Maybe robo and I will make something similar from the ground up as a DK shield in the near future?
It needs to be metal, it looks like wood.

I will be disappointed if Valve doesn't make Bane's old head as a cosmetic item.

To me the other Undying ward looks just fine. I don't really know which one I like more, both are neat. Of course yours was posted far earlier, probably long before he even started working on his (maybe even before he got the idea, maybe even got the idea from you) so I understand how you feel.

I've updated the set (mainly the armor plates and some material stuff) and rebooted the presentation. Makes quite a big difference, doesn't look pre-school anymore. Vote if you like because the workshop went weird this week and it's been buried.
