I'm talking about the ones from Traveller's Tales, beginning with Lego Star Wars, and most recently Lego Lord of the Rings. The games are well known for their simplicity, cartoon humour and widespread appeal that caters to both casual players and ones that want to go through and collect everything in the game, not to mention fans of the adapted series or Lego in general. Other games in the series include Lego Indiana Jones 1 and 2, Lego Batman and Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, Lego Rock Band, and Lego Harry Potter (Year 1-4 and Years 5-7).
There are currently two games in the works announced for 2013.
The first is Lego City Undercover.

Lego City Undercover is the first Lego game from Traveller's Tales that isn't an adaptation of some sort, but is rather based directly on a the Lego City series of sets. Many people have been calling it "Lego GTA" due to its similar free roaming, both with vehicles and on foot style of gameplay. (Although it also borrows heavily from the previous Lego Adaptation games.)
The game was first mentioned in The Brick 2009, where it was said "LEGO City Stories will have a more loose central story that will encourage the player to explore a wider variety of side stories and challenges." The game was then advertised at the back of LEGO set instructions from 2011 City sets. The advertisement took up two pages. On the first, it showed a code, from which arrows fan out, pointing at a DS with the game, a computer monitor with the LEGO website, and a computer monitor with the comic builder on the site. The second page advertised the game itself, utilizing an in-game snapshot. The game is scheduled to be released on March 1st 2013. It will be created by Traveler's Tales. The game was officially confirmed to be in production on June 7th, 2011, at E3 2011 and will be available for Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS.
Being a Wii U/3DS exclusive, it features functionality for the Wii U's gamepad. The player can use it as a scanner to catch criminals, looking around and examining the space around them to see if there are any hiding nearby. It can also be used to look for collectibles or other hidden secrets. While the player isn't in this scanning mode, it can be used as a minimap.
In this video, both the vehicles and gamepad function are demonstrated (Scanner demonstration begins at 3:18)

The game is currently lined for for a March 5th, 2013 release.
The other game slated for 2013 release is Lego Marvel Super Heroes.

This is the only video footage that's been revealed about the recently announced title. Rather than simply adapting a game based on the Avengers and the movies preceding it, they've decided to adapt the entire Marvel universe, including not only the Avengers, but the X-Men, Spider-Man, and probably many others (Reportedly, over 100 Characters from the Marvel comics.)

The game has no release date yet, but it's been projected as "Between September and November of 2013."
Personally, I'm really excited for Lego City Undercover. I was hoping it'd come out with the Wii U, but it's not long now.
I have Lego DC2 and Lego LOTR on Steam. Will keep buying the newer ones. Loving them.
I think all of the main ones are available on steam except for Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, because Disney has its own online distribution site
I just bought the 360 version instead
I wish there was a lego City Remake

The only Lego game you'll ever need.
is that deadpool in the picture for LEGO Marvel Superheroes?
RIP my wallet
Played lots of LEGO games, LEGO Racers on my old school was the best shit ever, fuck Unreal Tournament we had LEGO Racers
I think i played all LEGO games till around 2005, though i gotta admit the humor in the latest LEGO Harry Potter games are pretty good
Legoland the video game rules. Also Lego Chess is a classic.
I loved the cantina in the star wars ones, all hell broke loose if you shot someone.
Good to see that Lego Island is rated for ages 6-99.
I really miss the hub world from the first LEGO Star Wars. Everything would be really calm indoors, but then you'd go outside and the characters you had unlocked would all be fighting each other. Nothing beat switching to an enemy droid, then getting chased by an angry mob of jedi.
Also, I can't wait for LEGO Marvel Superheroes. I was really hoping they'd make something like that.

The sequel? Haha, this was the best one.

Lego Chess was a good 70% of my childhood. It was in Russian as well so I didn't understand a single bit :v:
I'm sad to say I don't own any of them, is Lego LOTR worth getting?
Any Lego <big franchise> games are worth getting. They're all well done and have good humor.

Uh, no. LEGO Island 1 and "Xtreme Stunts" were both better than THAT thing.
I'm pretty hype for LEGO City, gonna be hard to resist pre-ordering it.
Does anyone remember jumping out of a buggy while it was still moving on Lego Island 1, and seeing it drive on it's own all over the island? :v:

This plays in my head all the time.
There's a small online modding community for Lego Racers
http://www.rockraidersunited.org/forum/131-discussion/
they're the ones who discovered the hidden shortcuts in Knightmare-Athon. They haven't done much yet but there are big plans and means to execute them.
They're not exactly "small," as far as the LEGO communities go they're about medium-ish.(EDIT: I am referring to the whole of RRU of course. That site is actually built around Rock Raiders, not Racers) There are MUCH larger sites such as Eurobricks, FBTB, Brother's Brick and others. BZPower is a big one, too.

new trailer
one of the characters was called "Custom A" so either you can make your own costumes for Chase or you can make custom characters
