[B]Hello Facepunch! and welcome to the FP CSGO Knife Raffle.[/B]
So what's all this then? well basically I have decided to raffle off Counter-Strike Global Offensive Knives in a 50 Club fashion, I got the idea from my workplace where we have a monthly meat tray raffle that works exactly this way, there are numbers 1 to 50 and for a small price you can purchase one of these numbers and at the end of the month a number is drawn, if your number is drawn then you win the meat tray.
I figured this could work for CSGO and would be good for a bit of fun on the forums plus a much more likely chance to win a knife than attempting to un-crate one.
So how does this all work? its very simple, the cost of one number is one CSGO Case Key you can enter as many times as you like (max 10 entries) and once all 50 numbers are taken the winning number will be drawn using [URL="https://www.random.org/"]https://www.random.org/ [/URL] You get to pick your number from available numbers. The funds generated from the keys will be used to purchase another Knife and start the next raffle. The name you give me for your number/s will have to be your Facepunch User name, that way if you win I can PM you a code that you will message me over steam so I know exactly who to gift the prize to.

This image will be updated each time new people enter and their numbers will be applied to the list so you all know what numbers are still available for the raffle.

[/I]In order to work around this you can contact me and reserve numbers that you want, I will add you to the list as a reserved place and I will not draw the raffle for a minimum of one week from when its posted.
this gives everyone a chance to enter.

[/I]This raffle is for Facepunch members only I dont intend for this to become a huge thing hence the low number of tickets to draw the prize.

[/I]NO everyone is limited to 10 entries max. When the skins become better and better I dont want rich people to ruin it for everyone by basically just buying the skins with keys.[I]
What happens if I enter and the raffle flops?
[/I]If the raffle goes so bad that hardly anyone enters I will refund the keys to everyone who entered, but say we get to 40 entries and no one else will enter I will still draw the raffle anyway.[I]
So the funds will go towards new skins for new raffles?

Couldn't you just run off with the keys and knife?

im trust worthy is to start the raffle and honour its agreements. Hopefully after a few raffles I will have shown my integrity and people wont have doubts about entering.[I]
Why should I enter this? Couldn't I just try and unlock a knife in a case?
[/I]Your welcome to do what you wish with your keys but a 1 out of 50 chance to win a knife is a considerably more likely chance than to unlock one plus you can enter more than once, you can only
increase your chances in this.[I]

[/I]I thought it would be a bit of fun plus give some people who may not be able to just go and buy one of these expensive items a better chance of having one.

yeah 1 week restriction, i had no keys so i had to buy one. I have a FT Sun in Leo worth $2.48 though, could throw in a few other items to reach $2.50
If the first one goes well I'm in. The whole having to wait a week thing makes it a pain.

Don't they require a verification step aswell that takes a while?
i bought my first skin off opskins through paypal and it took literally 5 minutes. Ive never had to be verified. The disclamer says if your buying in a large amount. i spent like 35 dollars my first time and i had my stuff within 5 minutes if not sooner.
Yes the one week wait is a pain. But after talking with some people with the same problem I have come to a solution that Ill update the OP with.

Yes I did and I will periodically re-post in there with new information. For instance if a minimum of 25 entries to the contest are made it will still be drawn. So instead of 1 in 50 it will become 1 in 25. This is if we cant get the full amount of entries which is max 50.
Too easy just PM me the 3 numbers you want reserved.
I honestly wanted to do this a while ago when keys had no cooldowns but people were calling me a scammer.
Well since my wallet is on the verge of dying anyway.

Just re-iterating we are still taking entries, once 25 entries is hit we will draw the price. So one in 25 chance for a knife with each entry.

"Updated entries" we are still taking entries guys. I am considering making it so you can select from a few knives at the same price as the gut knife, that way if you want a flip knife, falchion, huntsman etc instead that is the same price then we can do that. Thoughts?

I know it's not really in the spirit but can we choose cash value instead? It'd be a lot more useful.

That's an interesting Idea, maybe next raffle the keys can go into a pool and the winner gets the pool? That way we can make the raffles time based and however many entries we get within say 3 weeks would be the pool and winner takes all. That would definitely be quicker than waiting for a minimum number of entries.
Probably be the way we go after this knife raffle.

I'll donate keys when I can get them. I've always been wanting a knife skin.
That would be really nice, we will discuss how the next raffle will go after this one is drawn. As a proof of concept the raffles work we just need to figure out how to make them run smoother and thus more frequently.
