Done and done.
Buy it. Seriously. Buy it. Watch the video in the OP if you're about to click back. Buy it.
It's 100% fucking brilliant, super smash brothers like fun.
Anyone that would be up for some games of this tomorrow throw me a steam invite. :)
Reminds me a lot of Superfighters Deluxe.
With ducks.
I'd say it's great fun. Played it for 3 hours straight, more or less. Played the singleplayer, online and tried to make a map. Very fun.

Sad part is that I spent more time on the surroundings than the map itself. (The two rooms they're in.)
Superfighters was an amazing flash game, this is like that, but much more fluid and fun, you'll find that it's fast paced with the potential for some really intense rounds, amazing couch co-op game and an equally great online multiplayer game, the singleplayer isn't much in the way of gameplay but there is a lot of things to do in general.

This game is Superfighters Deluxe X Towerfall.
The developer posted on the steam hub forums about features he'll implement soon-ish
-Multiple local players when playing online
Right now you can only play one person per computer. The game is local multiplayer at heart, so you should really be able to play with as many local players as you want when in online mode. I think if you have 3 people local and you wanna fill the 4th slot with an online player then you should be able to.
-Steam workshop support
Sharing custom levels has always been something I really wanted to offer, so this is definitely coming. There will be a new mode for playing and rating random workshop levels.
-Custom levels online
You can only play custom levels locally right now. I haven't decided exactly how I'm going to implement custom levels online yet, but it's something that will happen soon. The worry about custom levels is that I'm not sure I want them to come up randomly online, unless players specifically say they want them. Or they are playing with friends. So online matchmaking will likely filter servers allowing custom levels out by default. Similarly, if you host a game, you will manually have to turn custom levels on.
the singleplayer isn't much in the way of gameplay but there is a lot of things to do in general.
The singleplayer is there pretty much as a tutorial, it teaches you the wonky mechanics of some weapons, like the chainsaw sliding.
The only annoying thing is that you have to spit blood to unlock new arcade machines, and also you can't use the powerups from singleplayer in multi even if you're hosting.
Looks fun.
One question, the gameplay video in the first post didn't seem to make it clear, but how easy is it to join an online game with a friend? It didn't appear to have any lobby system, it just looked like you press 'find game' and it picks one for you.

It uses steam's lobby system, you can create a lobby and either make it private, friends only or public.
You can also choose to modify the privacy of certain slots in the lobby itself, from there you can invite friends from the game itself or he can right click on steam and choose join lobby ( that should also work if he's not the host of the lobby).
With public slots people will be able to join through the matchmaking shown in the video.
Looks quite fun from TB's video, might pick it up with my friend and play online and possibly with some friends locally. Seems like exact type of game where you assemble your friends and play this for pure competitive fun.
Also FlandersNed, you forgot the link to the actual game in the OP :v:

Excellent. Thinking of picking this up for a few friends and myself.
What's everyone's experience with the netplay in terms of latency so far?
I came in to this thread expecting something dumb but this is probably the greatest thing ever
coming from a marshmallow duel veteran this is exactly what i needed in my life
This game allows you to RIDE chainsaws. If that isin't reason enough to buy it, I don't know what is.
Brilliant game.

Woops, I've added it now.
I don't know where to mention this, but with the shotguns you have to pump it manually after every shot.

There are so many details in this game that it'd be really hard to put them all in the op, for instance: the chainsaw will leak fuel if it manages to land upside down.
Another day, another duck game.
i hope they add more hats. the current ones are great but the single player shit is way too difficult for plebs like me. the only reason you'd want to beat the arcade things is so you can have rare duck hats. multiplayer unlocked ones would be great. i know there's a few you get for multiplayer achievements but that's few and far between
Can you quack like a duck while we fuck?
Goddamn this game I love it. I wanna be able to unlock different sounding quacks just so I can show what a special ugly duck I am.
this game has the greatest "you son of a bitch!" moments and the best "oh fuck yes fuck you" moments

No, but you can get shit on your chest for good luck.
hot tip for controller users [sp2]how much you hold down the left trigger changes the pitch of your quack and the notes of instruments[/sp2]
God damnit, there's nothing more awesome than blocking a bullet with your sword and then doing a fucking powerslide towards your opponent to cut him down.
Quack.

Today I threw a rock at a guy who was shooting a rocket launcher causing the rocket to blow up in his face.

Good effort. Can you teleport left to right?
Good effort. Can you teleport left to right?
Thanks. Might've overdone the bushes, but oh well. Yes, you can teleport left and right.
I am finding this game really unwieldy with a keyboard. Is there any way to edit the controls?
This game has some good music.
