[b]What is ESA?[/b]
ESA is a speedrunning marathon hosted in Växjö, Sweden. It was inspired by the Games Done Quick events in the US and quickly became the largest speedrunning marathon in Europe.

Maybe it was all they could find.
It's fascinating how people manage to speedrun even such unplayable games such as the first Tomb Raiders.
Are we going to use the AGDQ Twitch chat?
Production is a bit of a mess this year. Hopefully it's not like this for the rest of the marathon.

there's no practice room, no pc room, no tv's, and no stream on big screen.
Somebody really needs to step up on the audio department, that scared the shit out of me

At least people in the back are starting to gather up, it was quite depressing to just see the runners before.
More like the European Technical Difficulties Assembly. This 'quick downtime' has been going for about 20 minutes.
Actually, the 2 minute reset has been going for over an hour now.
It's a complete and total mess.

Oh my god, the batman race.
It started without sound, then there's 0 commentary, and finally they actually manage to show the same screen twice on stream.

Finally, the sound always focused on the same runner, even if he was far behind, and there was no individual times for each runner. They just stopped it when the last guy finished.
I'm sorry if this is anyone's first impression of ESA. They usually have technical difficulties, but this year has been really really bad. ESA 2015 was some of the most fun I've ever had watching a speedrun marathon.

oh yea, they also have a second hall/gym/stadium being completely unused.
Heh, the timer guy fucked up and stopped the timer early during the Borderlands 2 4-player coop run, and they managed to get a world record. It's a good thing they were keeping their own timer.
