Gloria Victis is a low fantasy Medieval MMORPG with Open PvP with territory control, non-target combat, sandbox crafting, and a player-driven economy. The Azebian Zenith Empire spans across the inhospitable deserts of the South. It is ruled by a khagan. Living in such harsh conditions made the Azebs extremely agile and hardy. Their sacred duty is to fight the infidels – especially the Midlanders who worship a warped image of the Greatfather. They are not playable yet but will be added by the time the game releases. The Ismirs are tough but honourable clan warriors hailing from the frozen wastes of Nordheim. They are truly intimidating in their height and the ease with which they swing heavy axes. They have been raiding Midlandic lands for centuries, but they unite with Midland in the fight against Azebia. Basically vikings. The Midlanders are a proud nation from the North. Their history can be tracked back to the days of Geliand of Hillead. Even though their realm is divided into two kingdoms, they unite in the face of a common enemy – The Empire of Azebia. The Midlanders worship the Forefather and his son, and they value honour above all else. It's england before they were good at stuff. Sangmar was once the greatest power in the South. However, the Empire fell when the Azebs freed themselves from its yoke and began their conquest. Today Sangmar, still full of splendour and riches, is an oasis of cultural and scientific development. The Sangarians have everything – be it wonderful weapons, armour or gilded robes – except for freedom. Will be released by the game's release. You can choose from three types of armor. Light Armor, Medium Armor, and Heavy Armor. Because you basically forge your own class, you can choose to be an archer who wears heavy armor, or a guy in light armor wielding a giant sword. Light armor is for those who want to be quick and nimble, but lacks the protection that medium or heavy armor would offer. Medium armor is for those players who wish to have some agility, without sacrificing protection. Heavy armor is for those who want full protection from weapons like swords and arrows. As you fight and swing your weapon, shoot your bow, or block attacks, your stamina will drain. Once you run out of stamina, you open yourself up to devastating attacks as you no longer can block or attack back until you regain enough to swing. It is important to conserve stamina as best you can so you can continue to fight and have the upper hand on your opponent. Here is an example video. Facepunch I've set a facepunch guild up on the US/Canada Server #2. My name is ElDiablo in game and if you'd like to join it just send me a message. I'm not good at making OP's so if somebody else wants to take a crack at it please do go for it. You can buy the game on Steam Early Access right now for $20.00
Yeah, that's cool, but is there going to be magic though?
Yeah, that's cool, but is there going to be magic though?
I did see a thread recently that said their may be some sort of magic, but nothing like fireballs. More like buffs and debuffs, sort of like a bard.

I think that'd be the best way to do magic in a low-fantasy sandbox game while still making magic a legitimate character choice.

Im about to hop on and see if i can handle streaming it with my PoS PC

Really enjoy this game. Is the FP guild going to be specifically Ismir or Mid? Added ya on steam, I'd love to join. I was looking to join a guild before, but there was a ton of issues with randomly being kicked. Not sure if they fixed that yet or not.
I think Guilds were glitched until recent patches, but i havent invited anybody yet so i'm not sure. Can you have cross faction guilds? Right now im Ismir.
As far as i know, you can't have cross faction guilds. I believe each character can be in a different guild, but I'm not certain of that.
I can't get on tonight but I will play Sunday, i've got a 24 hr shift tomorrow so can't really play but after that i'm free. Whats your IGN?
same as on here. FrankPetrov. I'm a mid, although I wouldn't be against making an Ismir. It'd make farming the mid's side stuff a lot easier.
I'm not high level yet, only level 9, but it's very easy to level up between the starting city for Ismir and Limetown. [editline]9th July 2016[/editline] Speaking of which, if any Ismirs need good starting gear. You can get a great set of Heavy Armor called Original Faith Order's set for a like total i think maybe 40 bronze coins. It's a tiny farm if you think about it. Im going to start buying sets for the guild to give to new members who prove themselves in battle.
Ahh, had almost forgotten about this. Bought access to the beta when they went live, and then tested the game again when they put up their client on steam. I remember thinking it had a lot of potential. How long has it come now? Is it still "early access" and riddled with bugs and bad hitboxes/network laggs?
It's still early access. Bad hit boxes for melee (ranged is really good)but the lag seems to be gone.
The tournament starts soon.
Combat in this game is awful looking... but it's so addicting. The entire game just looks so unfinished gameplay wise but it's so fun to play for some reason. The shitty animations, the buggy AI. Yet it's still just so much fun sniping people with your bow or smacking them around with your melee weapon. This game has a lot of potential.
