What is Kingdom you Ask? It's a Retro Style game focused around building up your castle and army and defending yourself from the creatures of the night. Each day you're given opportunitys to increase your defenses and get people to help defend your camp, which will eventually evolve into a castle with knights and archers. It's a lot of fun and comes in two different styles, with classic having you attacked from both directs and New Lands only being attacked from one direction. Both have different items and "Power ups" per say, and provide a challenge in there own way. Here's a bit from my own experience:
Looks fun
Does much else happen after you upgrade the base to the stone castle? Just seems to turn into an edge your way to the portal by building walls simulator after that.

ontopic this game has piqued my interest for a while now but I keep hearing that theres little issues that add up and make it a lot worse than it should be. I've heard the micromanagement is tedious and AI can be stupid, but that was back in classic and idk if its been fixed or anything.
The micromanagement can be a bit tedious but a lot of that depends on the land that your in and what's by you. Sometimes you get resources right next to you and others is far away. AI can be a bit dumb but this is compensated by hoarding people.
After you get the castle it is a bit of an edge your way to the portal kind of thing, but even then you have to prepare yourself for when they fight back hard like in the video.
Played Kingdom when it first released, has New Lands changed it up enough to play it again? It hooked me for like 4 hours then I never played it again.

It introduce a few new game mechanics as well as unlockables. Basically now the goal is to rebuild a ship that you find and take it to a new land, and when you do that you get a permanent unlock such as a bear mount that can kill wildlife and the dark men. Because it's meant to be played longer they made the first 15 days or so easier.

Yay, I like the idea of having a longer game, will give it a spin.
Unfortunately the most interesting unlocks require you to win several times and the game at low levels is even more dull than it used to be because of how easy it is
Now the best strategy is to not build past the first wall, keep clearing trees and hire archers and you can usually leave before the 10th day so you can do it all over again until you unlock something that's at least a tiny bit interesting
