im going with the ps4, but this is p much the only launch title worth anything
And yet it apparently runs like shit, I mean no surprise there, the framerate in the first and especially the second were pretty shit, but you know, they're fun as fuck.
I have played this game and never noticed any frame rate drops (very minor in the last few days when you cant see the street anymore because there are so many zombies).
The number of zombies is insane in the last few days.
I'm glad I have the chance to play it since I would have never bought an X-Box for this game but damn it's a step up from the previous games.
If you somehow get the chance, play it it's good old Dead Rising. The Psychos are a bit of a letdown compared to the previous games though and Nick's Character takes a bit of time to develop but gets interesting later on.
The Zombies are the best part though and you can direct them around via Kinect, it's hella fun.
Looks like a lot of fun. I hope they're gonna release it on pc too. If not then maybe a second addition like Off The Records?
I really don't want to buy an xbone just for that game right now. (Maybe later in summer 2014)

This is false. I've drove my Rollerhawg through a street filled head to toe with zombies up and down, ran them all down plus a few explosive barrels and nothing happened to the framerate.
This game is fun as shit. The side missions get tedious after awhile, but going around and fucking shit up is just as fun if not more fun than the first two games.
I noticed firemen zombies are harder than soldier zombies, which makes zero sense. I remember reading that firemen are harder because of their "thick coats" yet the soldiers have flak jackets on (and they give shit PP compared to the firemen). Logic~

Oh well then what I've heard is a load of shit, makes me want this game even more now, well my Birthday is in the new year and Christmas is coming up soon so I'll see how it goes with money.
Major Spoilers:
[sp]Holy shit, I got mad chills when Chuck Greene came out of that Van and revealed that Annie was Katie. Holy shit I haven't been so happy about something in a game in my life.[/sp]

I loved that scene.
Also:[sp] I dont like how Hemlock just killed the CEO of Zombrex. She seemed like an important figure and throwing a disabled old woman off a building was very anticlimatic. Wouldn't she turn into a crawler though since she was infected, now dead, but her legs not working? Hemlock seemed so useless up until the ending were he wanted to build some kind of Zombie Nuke.[/sp]
It's out
oh cool theres a megathread for this
After sometime of just letting my game sit there on my computer me wondering why it runs like shit, I start it up once more again to monitor the amount of resources it's taking up and hop right into the game. This time the game worked and ran constant 30 fps as I haven't taken off the cap yet.
I don't know what I did or what I didn't do but the game suddenly just started working. And from there on I probably did the longest single game sitting of my life.
When playing coop and you're spawning cars in the garage with a friend, make sure to clear the platform before you or him spawns another vehicle, something happened and my truck spazzed out inside the garage and things blew up.

My longest game session was when I beat Serious Sam 3 with a friend in 8 hours
but this is a close contender with 6. I only stopped because it started getting laggy (I realized afterwards my PC was doing a backup so oops) and it was 12 AM

but omg this game is so damn fun
I keep neglecting to keep survivors alive after I save them, though. They just feel useless.
I have all the requirements except a gtx 650 2g, can I run this?
Crosspost from the release thread. I have been looking around and most people say I will be able to play fine in 30 fps or so. Im asking this since I can run bf3 on ultra settings fine , but CanIRunIt.com says I wont be able to run this game on minimal. What do you guys think?
Here are some useful links for people having issues

Some fixes for resolution problems
And for other resolution related issues here is a fix cooked up by yours truly that I'm currently using to play in 16x9 windowed
Custom resolution - Temporary Fix !
If like me you've had trouble with the game booting at the wrong resolution with no way to change it just follow these couple steps !!!
1. Go to My Documents->My Games->Dead Rising 3 and delete rendersettings.ini. Boot the game and then close it after a minute. Open the newly created rendersettings file with WORDPAD (notepad messes with the formatting)
2. Change thes settings
ScreenWidth = XXXX
ScreenHeight = XXXX
WindowWidth = XXXX
WindowHeight = XXXX
FullScreen = false
XXXX should be changed to your resolution. since this is for windowed play, I personnaly suggest using a slightly smaller resolution still in a 16x9 scale. I personally use 1328x750 instead of 1360x768.
3. Save your rendersettings.ini file and then Right Click->Properties and check Read Only. This is to disable the game from overwriting the new settings.
4. In the same folder as rendersettings, go to saves->x64_build and move the D3O.PROFILEOPTIONS file. I am not sure this is exactly necessary but sometimes causes an overwrite so I prefer to move it.
5. Boot the game ! Should be windowed in your entered resolution. I have tried Alt+Enter to fullscreen it but it somehow resets it to the stretched 5:4 resolution I was trying to get rid of. So for now enjoy windowed.
I am not saying this is a perfect fix but it sure beats stretched out 5:4 with black bars for me.
I'm having quite a lot of time with this. Has anyone tried flying out of the map with the mini bike yet?
Incase some people don't know yet, if you have a follower and want to get rid of him and you're too lazy to go to a safe house and rid of him through the bulletin board, just get a vehicle and drive as far away from him as possible and he'll despawn and go back to whatever.
Hey guys. Anyone up for some co-op havoc? Wether it's story mode or just messing about, I'm up for anything. Add me!

holy shit
Despite the horrible port, I've still been having a lot of fun with this.
Best moment had to be when my friend and I were in a fireworks shop, and something blew up, and suddenly there was fireworks everywhere and it felt like a warzone.
Looking forward to trying out nightmare mode because honestly, it's quite easy. I've never been killed and I'm on chapter 5 with like 3 days left.
I'm really sad that they decided to keep the Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 DLC exclusive to the Xbox One. I'm able to play the game on low, but it still stutters like crazy. Still having fun though. I love that huge electric hammer weapon, throwing it into a horde is fucking awesome.
I have only been able to play on and off for 4 hours worth but the game is amazing. Once they fix the random crashes I'll probably binge-play this game.
Servbot mask is so hilarious in cutscenes.
its a shame there's no infinite mode, hope that gets added at some point, or modded in.
I can almost guarantee it'll come in an Off the Record style package
alongside frank west
please capcom ill suck your dick
was so gutted frank west wasn't in this
capcom knows they can easily equal the sales of the main game by adding a frank west standalone title, so they're just gonna let DR3 PC sales die down and then hit us with DR3: Journey to the West
Bougth it and so far its pretty fun. Is there a way to remove black bars though?
[editline]7th September 2014[/editline]
Also this probably sounds pretty stupid, but how do I create a user.ini file?
Also whats the original viewport text? I did what they said and now my game hud looks goes outta the screen, and since the resolution fix tool is bugged I cant fix it. I have a 4:3 res btw
[editline]7th September 2014[/editline]
Fixed this, guess ill play in 16:9 until they patch the stuff
