Trying to remember a GBA SP game

So there is this trading card base GBA SP game that I'm trying to remember, It starts off with it being your birthday (I think), and then after the party you go to bed and later that night someone steals your cards. So after conversing with your family you have to go to a city to find a detective who will only look into the robbery after you win a tournament. And that is how far I got into the game. So, any ideas?

That's one of the Duel Masters games.

EDIT: To be precise it is "Duel Masters Sempai Legends" AGB-AA9P-EUR (at least in Europe, other regions might have different names). As I recall it also came with a limited edition card which I probably have around here somewhere.

I'm 100% sure of this.
