Do you still regularly play retro videogames?
Do you collect them?
Do you hide them under your bed or at the back of your wardrobe?
Are you the owner and manager of a retro games museum?
Then this thread may just be for you. But despite what Gamestation may say on their website, the PS2, original Xbox and Gamecube are NOT retro (yet), so as such should be shot on sight if seen in the thread. You have been warned, consoles.

Youtube Stuff
There're quite a few people on the Youtubes who do retro stuff such as reviews and the like, here are a few;
Pete Dorr (www.youtube.com/petedorr)

John "Gamester81" Lester, has one of if not the best collection of systems I've ever seen (www.youtube.com/gamester81)

So post your collections, talk about retro things, and have fun!
I found a old Atari in my garage.
No games, and it's missing a controller through.
HOWEVER it's in it's original box.
I still have my SNES, N64, and Dreamcast.
I only have a few games left though. I think for my Dreamcast, all I have is Power Stone and Crazy Taxi. N64 I have Blitz, Jet Force Gemini, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and Donkey Kong 64. SNES all I have is Pockey and Rockey, Kirby Super Stars, and Populous.
Luckily there's a mom and pop gameshop near me that sells old school consoles. I went in there a week ago with a friends, and they had old intellivisions, dreamcasts, playstation 1's, NES's, SNES's, Gameboys (the oldschool brick ones, and even in multiple colors), and game sections for literally every retro system (although the selection for a few systems isn't the best).
I have a game gear kicking about somewhere.
I bought duck hunt and the gun on eBay years ago. Can't play them, but I know one day I can.

Nice, what model is it? Some of them are quite rare.

I envy you, around here if I'm extremely lucky there'll be something obscure in a charity shop and once in a blue moon Gamestation puts out a basket with a few decent titles in that they have cluttering up the downstairs part of the shop, last time there were a few sealed Perfect Darks for the N64 which I managed to get.
I found my cousins fuck-old Commodore Amiga with around 500 games to play. This shit is amazing and the games have best fucking songs ever.

Beautiful, some of the old computers like that beat consoles hands down.
I have a sega nomad, with a bunch of great classic Genesis games, an original gameboy in accessory case full of accessories, sega nomad, n64, dreamcast with a ton of games, etc.
did you download the dreamcast half life beta
because i dont think that was ever released
I really prefer the old consoles and games over the newer ones, I do not know why. It is not tied to Nostalgia because I always discover new (old) games that are simply great.

Yup, it was completed but never released, something about a change in the market or something I can't remember.
I still have my PS1 and the nearly 100 games I had stored somewhere in my grandmother's house.
Anyone have any experience with an Atari Jaguar? Is it any good? I'm hopefully going to try and pick one up for my birthday next month.
It does what Nintendoesn't.

or was it Nintendon't?

Haha oh yes, it was Nintendon't, although I think it was Sega who used that one, not sure.

Agreed, can't fucking wait to find a Commodore Amiga A2000.
As you can see I have quite the collection already, Atari 800XL and other A1200 not pictured.

Updated.

The Amiga was the best computer ever, a brilliant OS and the music on games is just amazing.

.mod files, fuck yeah!
I need to get my NES fixed.
The only Nintendo console I never owned was a SNES. The only reason I had a NES was because it was my parents'.
I've been able to play Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World through the Virtual Console, but never Yoshi's Island. I've always wanted to play it.
did you download the dreamcast half life beta

I never did, but wasn't it one of a few games that were unreleased but got leaked out a year or two back?
I have a NES clone on my closet. Though not the same i've had when i was a kid. Also I miss my Commodore 64 C Model (based on C128) so bad.
Whole thread made me to play and complete Quake 1 on Nightmare. I've completed it many times on Hard so it's time for a great challenge.
I have quite a few consoles including a C64, but it has a faulty component in it, which costs more to replace than the actual computer.
I still got my Atari and SNES in the cupboard, whilst my PS1 broke last year.
It will be missed.
I still play my SNES all the time, the Atari not so much.
Retro games just appeal to me more than most modern games.
i bought the first gameboy with about 10 games for £3 a few days ago

If it's just a popped capacitor it's pennies to fix.
Even if one of the chips has blown, you can buy replacements online for not that much.
Oldest thing I have is a Gamecube. Holds good and bad memories.
Sega Light Phaser peripheral is best peripheral.

I've been building up an SNES collection recently. So far, I have Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World, Gradius III, Contra III, Darius Twin, and Super Nova.
Like that other dude said, I have an Atari as well, but I don't play it that much either. There's a limit to how old and blocky a game can be before it's just unplayable.
I have a oscilloscope game, the thing weighs more than several textbooks. My father gave it to me.
My friend collects these things, he has the Atari's (2600 and those two larger # ones), Nintendo's (NES SNES etc) and their peripherals (power-glove etc), and so on. He goes to the Swap Shop down here (poor people selling stuff which they have no idea what the value of them is) every week, he recently got the Lynx (or whatever it's called).
[editline]18th September 2011[/editline]
He has like 20 JRPG's, it's ridiculous.
I still sometimes play the SNES when my brother comes home in the weekends.
Man I love the SNES.
