I'm having trouble hosting a OpenTTD server, I've opened my ports but people cant seem to connect so I assume I've done something wrong. [t]http://i.imgur.com/TWQZ61Q.png[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/nDJZu/e4e6ec0676.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/VysdCas.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/TNVoJaN.png[/t]
A quick scan over the wiki mentions that the program is not UPnP compliant https://wiki.openttd.org/Talk:FAQ_multiplayer And the image supplied with port forwarding does not show if you are actually forwarding the port for openttd By default port is 3979 (both TCP and UDP required) If you can tell us what your router make/model are it should be a lot easier to figure out
I hope this helps; ZTE H369A
And pretty much no resources, What else is under the Mode combo box in this image? [t]http://i.imgur.com/TNVoJaN.png[/t]
I'm terrible at asking help :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/A4RAKxO.png[/t]
I'm terrible at asking help :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/A4RAKxO.png[/t]
Hmm, makes sense, the mode just chooses the method of identifying the computer on a network which should be forwarding the port Which means that the APPName 'OpenTTD' should be repsonsible for the port forwarding I am unsure where this is set however
Your IPv4 Address is what you should be assigning in your port forwarding rule, not the default gateway. You've set it to 192.168.2.254, but you should be using 192.168.2.94. Note that this IP may change if you reconnect wifi or reboot - you should assign a static IP/static route to your connection so you don't have to keep checking and modifying the port forwarding rule. I'd give more information but every router's web interface is different, and yours looks quite unusual too. Edit- Actually, using "Associated Devices" would avoid that problem - get your Wifi adapter's MAC address via ipconfig /all and use that rather than an IP.

Firewall blocking it?
Firewall blocking it?
Whould that be the Modem's firewall? Because my provider is shit and I cant change it so its stuck there at High. Their response to someone else was "You can just open some ports" or do you mean desktop fire wall?
