With Uncharted 4 releasing very soon, I decided to make a megathread. This is my first attempt at a megathread so bear with me.

Pretty hyped for this. I really feel this is a good contender for Game of the Year. Please try to avoid posting spoilers until release.
I fucking love Uncharted. Somehow I hope that it'll get universally acclaimed like The Last of Us 3 years ago, but that's almost unrealistic. Probably because it's a sequel so it's harder to say it's a masterpiece when it's a series of masterpieces.
I only do this once or twice a year, but this game is a Day 1 buy for me.

Oh definitely, I still tear up a little whenever I put a new one in and hear the opening theme. Will be interesting to see how many open areas we end up getting.
To be honest I'm surprised people don't talk/hype about this game much. It's going to be a spectacular game for sure, maybe once the reviews are in?
I hope Sully doesn't die in this one

The reviews are already in, 94 on metacritic right now. It's the highest rated game of this generation so far, if you don't count remasters (GTA V, TLOU)
I bought the Uncharted collection on PS4 recently, playing Uncharted 1 for the first time. I've heard that the first game hasn't aged as well as the others, but I'm still enjoying it.
I got into Uncharted, with 2, back in 2009, when I first got my PS3. This game is a day 1 for me too, I hope online is fun again, I loved going around rooftops and knocking mooks out with my mate in 3.
I'm so excited for this I can't handle it

The multiplayer is gonna be amazing from I've experienced through the Beta. I really like the TLOU style of in game purchases.

YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS
I never skip this ad when it occurs on Youtube, usually when listening to music. It gives off this bad feel good vibe.

And those realtime cutscenes.

Most realistic human game characters for sure.

Wait, they're realtime this time around?
Wow, they've been pre-rendered in every previous game. Man, ND are fucking WIZARDS.

Yeah mainly because if they were pre-rendered they'd have to be highly compressed to fit on the disc and thus look bad. Plus I'm guessing if you choose a different costume, it will show in cutscenes.
To be honest I never disliked the pre-rendered cutscenes because Naughty Dog did them so well.
- They're compressed so well that you'd think they're real-time,
- They serve to hide loading times which means you can play the game in one go with 0 loading.

Yeah i liked how they hid loading times. UC4 is already like 49gb without any huge 1080p videos though.

Didn't Final Fantasy XIII on the PS3 have a dual-layer Blu-ray with the second layer pretty much dedicated to the CGI-cutscenes? :v:
I cannot contain my hype! Been replaying the others in anticipation. Going to refinish the 2nd tomorrow and spend Sunday/Monday recompleting 3.
I used to own an xbox but when buying next gen I went for the PS4 so I haven't played any of the previous games, been thinking about renting them on playstation now before I get the new one.
Would you recommend it? I think it's going to be a great game but get the feeling most the people who are hyped have played the previous games. I feel like by not playing the previous games I may not have the same experience as others.
I tried the MP mode for Uncharted 3 on the PS3 and the framerate is atrocious, does the game run better in the Singleplayer mode? I would love if I could disable the motion blur and the depth of field if it means that I can get a better framerate (the motion blur effect pisses me off more than anything). I don't see why the game shouldn't be running at 60 FPS. The combat still feels kinda ehh. I kinda regret getting U2 and U3 already, I'm not sure if I should even bother with the story anymore, I only played U1 and I thought it was extremely boring, wondering if U2 and U3 truly get any better.

Cex has the remastered collection for £20 well worth it

You want a ps3 game to run 60fps? Might as well give up console games in general if 60fps is your minimum.

That makes no sense. And I'll just end up getting Uncharted 2 and 3 on the PS4 instead if I'm able to.

The single player for Uncharted 4 runs at 30, and the multiplayer runs at 60
Just beat Uncharted 3.
Best level was the capsizing ship. That big room with the glass window was jaw dropping.
Uncharted 4 has been dispatched to me already and I can't wait.

I feel like the story was definitely not at the forefront of Uncharted 3, it seemed like all the set peices were instead. But it was still really fun to play and experience, though.
I thought the ship graveyard was the coolest part of the game. It was very unexpected and it reminded me of the starship graveyard from Mass Effect 2

Aww man, when it's upside down. That was a great level. Even though 2 is the better overall game, I quite like the locations of 3.
do the reviews say how long 4 is? im supposed to be saving so i cant decide if i should buy it on launch or not
My copy arrived yesterday and I finished it this morning. Took me around 12 hours to finish up the story. Good game.
