Every hero has their own personality and comes equipped with their own unique weapons and powers. [b]STORY MODE[/b] Battleborn's Story Mode is a narrative experience that can be played entirely singleplayer, and is even better when it's played cooperatively with friends both splitscreen and online. [b]MULTIPLAYER[/b] Battleborn's team-based competitive multiplayer action can be experienced by up to 10 players online in 5v5 matches, and includes three distinct multiplayer modes. [b]INCURSION[/b] Teams of heroes must defend their base from waves of AI-controlled minions while working together alongside their own minions to destroy their opponent's base. [b]CAPTURE[/b] Teams of heroes face off in a fast-paced death match and must capture and hold objectives on the map to win. [b]MELTDOWN[/b] Teams of heroes must guide their minions as they march to their death at the center of the map. Points are scored for every minion who throws themselves into the incinerator, and the team with the most points wins. [b]PERSISTENT PROGRESSION SYSTEM[/b] All experience points, whether earned through playing Battleborn's Story Mode or Competitive Multiplayer modes, contribute to leveling up individual Character Rank, as well as player profile Command Rank. [b]CHARACTER RANK[/b] Each hero can permanently rank up from 1 to 15 outside of missions and matches, allowing players to unlock additional augments in their helix skill tree, as well as additional skins for each character. [b]COMMAND RANK[/b] Players can rank up their own player profile, unlocking badges and titles to impress friends, and loot that can be used to benefit any hero the player chooses to command. Downloading the preload for Open Beta, let's see how it goes. Sadly it starts on 12th I think, unlike PS4 which had it for 8th.

All I can say is this game has been a pleasant surprise for me. If you're into Monday night combat or just want a new fps experience, give the beta a try. Don't let the generic looking name and characters fool you. It's characters, gameplay mechanics and humour is actually really well done. Even though it's a game best played with friends, it's got a lot of variety in characters and upgrades to keep you from being bored. If you can spend the time to understand the mechanics well, it becomes really fun.

PS4 open Beta is going now I think and PC/Xbox open beta starts later this week

Are you playing it on PS4? Beta isn't on for PC until 13th and I'm patiently waiting until I can play it. I'm also hoping that my PC will be able to run it.

I think ps4 gets some extra characters as well. I'm not a fan of that but what can you do. I'm surprised they kept in the story mode, being a beta and all.

So, for the people that have been playing the beta, what's your favorite character so far? I quite like Marquis.

It's actually tomorrow Open-Beta. I hope It will run just fine on my pc.

Restart your computer (may not have to, but that's what I did) and then launch Steam again to check. The game is pretty fun, but on my first PvP match 3 of my team members had connection problems so we got demolished.

Well my game is updating but it's taking a bit long for some reason, not sure why...just like Payday 2 damnit.

Well at least the female characters aren't 90% ass this time, so there won't be outrages every week about it.

Game is pretty fun but it runs like garbage. I need a better computer.

Played one campaing mission as Miko, I think his name was, the mushroom healer/poisoner. I like the gameplay, the story reminds me of Borderlands, the Kassias or whatever that old man's name, I like how he is voiced by the same voiceactor that voiced one of my all time favourite Smite characters - Sylvanus. :v: My biggest issue is that on lower-end machines(mine) the framerate is ass. Sometimes it's bearable 28-30 or so but most of my fights were at 15 or less, which is pretty disappointing. If there is a way to turn off Dx11 to switch back to Dx9 then it'll fix everything most probably, otherwise I'm boned and I won't be able to play this.

I played one of the closed betas several months ago. It was alright, but did nothing to actually grab my attention, and the humor actively made me bored.

Guess I'm just not allowed to play then.
