The Division is an open world RPG set in post-collapse Manhattan where a weaponised virus stuck to money killed nearly everybody. The combat system is very similar to Mass Effect 3; it's a cover based shooter with RPG elements. The PvE side of the game revolves around taking back New York, discovering the cause of the plague and helping the Joint Task Force (Emergency services and Army remnant) restore order. You'll establish a base of operations and slowly upgrade it by completing missions. Upgrading the BOO will unlock new skills, perks and abilities. The PvP area is called the Dark Zone. There's plenty of high tier loot available in this area, with an extraction mechanic where you have to take your loot to a certain place and hold out. This allows plenty of opportunities to grief your fellow players and steal their loot before they can extract it. A lot of people are buying the game based on their Dark Zone experiences in Beta! Release date is 8th March 2016. Each gear set will give your in-game Division Agent a unique look and includes skills that will help you take back New York! Exceptions: America and Canada only. If you are unlucky and live off in NZ, OZ, UK, EU or any other corner of the earth, you will need to: 1. VPN to the USA. Reddit recommends https://openvpn.net/ 2. Make a throw away uPlay account using the VPN. It sets the account location during registration. 3. Go back to the link above, enter AGENTORIGINS and it will give you a standard ABCD-1234-EFGH-5678 type code. Turn off the VPN. 4. Open your uPlay desktop application and activate the code on your normal account (It's the little gamepad button in the top right next to your friends list button) 5. Be an all American hero! Thanks to Ajax on SomethingAwful for the info.
I don't care that it's Ubisoft but I'm still hyped as fuck for this game. It's made by a collaboration of teams who have made some amazing games in the past and the fact that it was delayed a few times could very well mean that it's not being rushed, like some other Ubisoft games have been. I can't wait for the PC alpha, though I haven't pre-ordered this or anything so I dunno if I'll be able to play it during that.
Massive is making this game. Massive also made World in Conflict. That should enough to get at least some of you guys hyped.
I'll give the console beta a shot before judging it.
I'll give the console beta a shot before judging it.
The xbox one beta/alpha is live now :v: Should give it a try its a blast :v:
Massive is making this game. Massive also made World in Conflict. That should enough to get at least some of you guys hyped.
Along with the team that made the original Rainbow Six games.
I have been testing this game since February. It has come quite the way since the Pre-Alpha. I am playing the alpha right now, and I am loving it. Can't wait until they introduce all the other things they have planned.
You should add in the official trailers and such. The one you posted is a fan made one. -snip- been added to the OP.
There's also the snowdrop engine showcase that shows some of the really cool shit they've put into this game.
All I remember from this game is the cringe worthy staged gameplay from E3
Massive is making this game. Massive also made World in Conflict. I don't think them working on it is any guarantee of quality.
Along with the team that made the original Rainbow Six games.
This, on the other hand, has some promise.
The xbox one beta/alpha is live now :v: Should give it a try its a blast :v:
So how's your experience so far? (Assuming that you're in the alpha)
I watched some leaked videos of the alpha, it looks pretty fun. A lot of people are saying that they are really enjoying the alpha as well.
I watched some leaked videos of the alpha, it looks pretty fun. A lot of people are saying that they are really enjoying the alpha as well.
I am personally loving it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivisionalpha People link footage, gets taken down sometimes though.
You should add in the official trailers and such. The one you posted is a fan made one. There's a handful of others you can find as well, but those are the main ones.
Ah yeah thanks :v:
So how's your experience so far? Looking at some leaked alpha, look like this game would work pretty well even if you're just playing your own, is there some kinda offline mode or anything? As far as I understand, other players only come in if you invite them in regular gameplay or they will appear automatically if you're in the darkzone? [editline]11th December 2015[/editline] Huh, I just found that some of those key sites are selling beta access keys for like 2 euros, how would they have all those keys?

How does the co-op stuff work? Is it like drop-in drop-out? Can you just invite a player into your world and have them help you out with stuff?
World in Conflict is one of my top two favorite real time strategy games, but this game isn't even the same genre. I don't think them working on it is any guarantee of quality.
It's not a guarantee of quality necessarily, but one thing's for certain, Massive (as we know it) cares about what they do. Doesn't make me pre-order the game or anything, I never do that, but it's enough to keep me interested.

I hope they're still their old selves, and that after this they'll be allowed to go back and make the sequel to World in Conflict that we all deserve. But goddamn is that unlikely.
So how's the city map? Lots of interior areas? Or just corridors of streets? This game looks to be doing a lot right in my eyes, i'm hoping it really can produce a quality product.
So how's the city map? Lots of interior areas? Or just corridors of streets? This game looks to be doing a lot right in my eyes, i'm hoping it really can produce a quality product.
Can't say due to NDA.
Can't say due to NDA.
You can PM him the answer. I doubt he'll report you to Ubisoft.

I don't feel like typing out everything about the world. Nobody should be disappointed in the map design. That's all I am saying about it.

Glad to know that.

I don't want to lose my job. I like my job. I could have given you a better explanation, and here it is. As shown in previously released gameplay footage. Yes, you can go in buildings, subways and roam the streets of a gigantic representation of NYC.

You don't need to go rub it in people's faces though. They know your in the alpha.
