Wait, the promo image boasts online play, is that actually in the game?
Kickstarter stretch goal content, it's post-release as well as two worlds for free
whoa! "the game we all thought is never going to make it" is going to make it! doesn't even have a preorder button! Great first impressions and review, but I'm going to wait for more.
Anyone who was actually following this game would know it was making good progress the whole time. I don't understand where people got the idea it was never coming out. I pre-ordered my copy like a year ago, glad I'll finally get to put it to use. I didn't wanna play too much of the beta before the game came out.
Been following this game since before the Kickstarter, it's awesome to see it finally finished! Can't wait to play the full game, I had a blast with the beta version back when that was available.

FYI, they didn't removed JonTron but now he voices someone else.
FYI, they didn't removed JonTron but now he voices someone else.
I watched Vinny play this game earlier this morning and it really was amusing when suddenly Jon started talking. This game really looks fun and cute, I wanna play it.
Oh wow, they really change Act 3 compare to the Beta version of it. It's actually really funny and clever now! I also noticed that there's a certain area that they still kept in the final build and I'm guessing it's a secret level.
I have waited 3 years for this moment finally its out!
Oh that' really cool, I just found (cosmetic spoiler) [sp]A brush that changes your color, and the one I found makes it so you look like Link from Wind Waker. Changes your hair color too.[/sp]
(Cosmetic Spoiler) [sp]My favorite is the dinosaur hat for your sprint hat. Best unlock i've gotten so far[/sp]
I'm super excited to play this! A good friend of mine (Yungtown) voices one of the major characters in the game!
I'm super excited to play this! A good friend of mine (Yungtown) voices one of the major characters in the game!
Nice! Which one?
I already spend 2 hours in the game and I've only been messing around in Mafia Town.
Nice! Which one?
He voices [sp]Snatcher[/sp]!
Nice, I just found a Super Mario RPG reference in the game! Hint: [sp]It's a Geno reference.[/sp]
achievement spoiler for murder on owl express [sp]if you put "penis" as the bodypart you're most ashamed of, you get an achievement called "WHY"[/sp]
Oh man, I preordered this back in 2014 and after playing both the Alpha as well as the Beta I have to say the final build is fantastic. It's weird that they took out diving, so you can't swim anymore as I enjoyed out the music tracks transitioned to an underwater style. After 5 hours I have 25 Time Pieces, and I have to say it's really great. The bosses are fantastic, especially (Spoilers for Chapter 2)[sp]Chapter 2's, I love how you determine which boss you fight.[/sp] I don't know if anybody else preordered, but the deluxe edition comes with a soundtrack. (which is suppose to be downloadable on Humble Bundle) Has anyone heard any word on it's release, as I know it's been released on Steam.

Expect it either today or tomorrow. Remember that the PS4 / Xbox One version of A Hat in Time releases later this fall."
Anyone who was actually following this game would know it was making good progress the whole time. I don't understand where people got the idea it was never coming out.
The game started development in 2012 and was greenlit on Steam in 2013. Unless you were keeping tabs directly, it's not unreasonable to have believed it was in development hell.
Anyone who was actually following this game would know it was making good progress the whole time. I don't understand where people got the idea it was never coming out.
People seem to have a difficult time divorcing the concepts of a slow development and development hell, particularly kickstarter projects.
I've only been playing for the past few hours but god damn I love how kinatic hat girl feels, it's solid and a lot of fun to jump around with her. But I do have a nickpic regarding Controller controls and the GameCube support, the camera turns too slowly and moving is a pain with that controller so had to resort to my Logitech controller. Now if the devs can add Camera Sensitivity for controllers we'll be golden! Also this is my 1000th post on Facepunch!
The game started development in 2012 and was greenlit on Steam in 2013. Unless you were keeping tabs directly, it's not unreasonable to have believed it was in development hell.
Yeah, if you didn't follow the Kickstarter or preordered the Deluxe Edition it was kinda hard to tell if the game was progressing. I think if they had done more frequent youtube videos it would have put some people at ease. Especially considering the infamy of Kickstarter. Those that did get the Deluxe really saw progress with the Alpha and Beta. I only wish I could have experienced the very early prototype. If you want to see how far the game has gone, I would check out Brutalmoose's prototype video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DmBipY4CCo (I hope they re add the Mafia Town prototype music as an unlockable.)
