Anyone know anything good about the 10th class for team fortress two? (Apart from the L4D Shenanigan) They still have to update Demoman and Engineer, so maybe after that? Or do you have a good idea about the 10th class? Mine was the Scientist.
EDIT:
Im going to have to side with borisvdb on this and say that the Tenth Class will be Saxton Hale.
It ain't gonna happen until everything's done for.
"RIP The tenth class"
The civilian? He's a weirdo.
I, personally, don't really think we need a tenth class. The nine Valve created perfectly fit every role needed, and most ideas for the "tenth class" intrude on another's role, or is downright redundant.
Plus, adding a new one at this point would end up with teams of 12(or 16 w/e) tenth classes for MONTHS
The tenth class would most likely be the Civilian, in which case he would only be playable on one map/set of maps and no one would especially want to play as him. He's armed with an umbrella.

Valve didn't create the 9 classes.

Robin Walker and John Cook did, and last I checked they worked for Valve these days. :3

You know what I mean.
Yeah CharlesMan, I guess your right. All of the classes are equally as good as the next and are all balanced. A 10th class would be good though. Oh and the Civilian was created for V.I.P missions in Team Fortress Classic, i doubt Valve would make him the 10th class, the only reason they would include him is if they brought V.I.P missions as a new Game Mod. Which they defiantly won't.

Yea, well Robin and John were a separate company at the time they made Team Fortress.

Who gives a fuck?
No if we were to add classes we'd have to add 3 to keep a balance. Besides what can we do with a tenth class? Make it dispense milk and cookies the team?
The only traces of the tenth class are Bill, the Bill's Hat blog post, and a Halloween prop that has the writing "R.I.P. THE TENTH CLASS" on it.
Clocktoberman senses a Clocktoberfeeeeest.

Or some form of medic companion which gives off ammo instead of health?
If there is a 10th class, I highly doubt Valve would allow you to play it on every map, because that would spawn thousands upon thousands of balancing issues. I reckon it'll be the Civilian, and you'll only be able to play it in a Hunted gamemode (if they ever bother to resurrect it).

You mean like Combat Support? Well, the Guard Dog that a third-party designed kinda pretty much fits that slot, with it's ammo/health pickup carrying, although a guard dog wouldn't be too fitting for the game.
But even if we did have a Combat Support guy capable of giving allies ammo, we'd still need 2 more classes to fill in the Offense and Defense roles. I remember long times back when I thought up a defensive Bodyguard class, that had the ability to protect teammates with a big riot shield, although that one probably wasn't too good anyways.
Besides, we probably don't need more classes. Yet. Or maybe even ever...

Civilian?

Payload is TF2's version of that.
Some serious adjustments would have to be made to VIP/Hunted if they brought it back. 9 times out of 10 that was a complete mess.
I will say that they have been talking about the 10th class a lot lately, although not in ways that would normally suggest that one is in the works. You had the gravestone on harvest, Bill's hat, the bobble head being released with the rest of the "Meet the Sniper" gear, and I guess the Guard Dog thing since a lot of people thought they were suggesting it was the 10th class.
Whether they're all intentionally related and it means something, I don't know.
I believe Saxton Hale is the 10th class.
Well a tenth class would make sense cause then each class would have a counter class. Also I would love to have a civilian class. It would be hilarious.
Unless it's the civilian we really don't a tenth class.
you would need 3 more classes so the total is 12. with 9, one class is bad against 4 and good against 4. to have good/bad against 5 you would need three more classes.
I'm not sure you would need any more balancing classes if you were to put a 10th class in a supporting role with some basic weaponry. Like ammo dispensing, or some kind of small non stackable buff to surrounding classes
I'm pretty sure during the Halloween event the map said R.I.P 10th Class. Its over and its not coming out.
If they DID ever come out with a 10th class, I think it should be something the opposite of a pyro. He'd be armed with a Snowblower and it'd do the same thing as the Flamethrower, but it'd put out flames and slow people down like the Natascha.
For a secondary weapon, probably an SMG.
Melee weapon would be an icepick.
And for the character himself, he would probably be a stereotypical canadian.
The opposite of the Pyro is the Sniper.
