Really? When I got Left 4 Dead, it took me all of 5 minutes before I went 'wait, Father Grigori? What are you doing here, go away'.
He also voiced the fisherman in Lost Coast. The man had such a great voice and voiced some of my favorite characters. Shit sucks, man.

How long before Valve literally couldn't do a Half-Life 3 because every voice actor is dead? So it's Breen's, Eli, and now Grigori (granted he died in HL2 but the VA could have voiced a new character).
I mean at least they don't have to worry about Gordon's voice actor.

it's kinda weird that the voice actors who have died are also the characters that have died in the games. i guess you could argue you didnt see grigori die, but if you noclip up and wait it out he eventually gets taken out :v:

Gordon Freeman was the name of the VA for the original protagonist, Ivan. He died during development so they renamed the character and left him silent in tribute

RIP, Valve reuses voice actors a lot, the hl2 citizen voice actor also voices the tf2 sniper, the voices of alyx, glados, kleiner, ms pauling, pyro/spy, heavy, alyx, gman/berney, citizens/sniper, and the vortigaunts all have roles in dota 2. Fun fact, ellen mclain (glados) and john patrick lowie (citizen/sniper) are married and valve didn't know for years.

Grigori being dead isn't necessarily known. IIRC valve stated they left it ambiguous because they didn't plan to use grigori in the future.
