MACERATA, Italy (AFP) - A far-right supporter suspected of wounding six Africans in a shooting spree in central Italy said the "trigger" for his attacks was the murder of an Italian woman, allegedly by a Nigerian asylum seeker, according to media reports Sunday (Feb 4). Luca Traini was arrested and taken into custody after drive-by attacks in the town of Macerata wounded five men and one woman from Ghana, Mali and Nigeria on Saturday (Feb 3). It came a day after a Nigerian asylum-seeker and drug dealer was arrested in the same town for the murder of an 18-year-old woman, whose dismembered body was discovered in suitcases.
"I was driving to the gym when I heard on the radio about the 18-year-old girl," daily newspaper Corriere della Sera quoted him as telling investigators. "Instinctively I turned around, I went home, I opened the safe and took the pistol and decided to kill them all."
I wonder how that woman would feel knowing there was some lunatic running around using her death as an excuse to blindly murder others they don't like in cold blood.

Saddest thing is some people actually think this guy did a good thing.
Saddest thing is some people actually think this guy did a good thing.
We had a similar case in Indian history. What followed it was the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. I'm beginning to wonder if history is just cyclical at this point. :disappoint:
I'd say Kudos if he actually got the people that committed the murder but killing randoms that had nothing to do with it is fucked, I know we shouldn't take justice in our own hands but in that situation of knowing someone purposely killed a loved one I feel like most people would take matters into their own hands.

The motive for the girl's gruesome murder is still unknown, but she came in contact with the drug dealer to get some heroin after running away from rehab. Multiple suspects are involved but that's it so far.

Of course she can't think of anything now, she's dead, but he's saying if she could.
"[x] would be rolling in their grave if they could see these people" "Well actually they're a skeleton and skeletons can't roll so I'm not sure about that"
Never even really liked that statement either to be honest.

"Instinctively I turned around, I went home, I opened the safe and took the pistol and decided to kill them all." After the shootings, Traini, 28, allegedly got out of his car, made a fascist salute with a tricolour Italian flag draped over his shoulders and shouted "Viva Italia", or "Long Live Italy", and "Italy for Italians", media reports said.
Sounds like a sane rational enlightened centrist right there
He was NOT a vigilante, but a terrorist. The same kind of terrorist that the italian right wing parties like Lega, Casapound and company wants us to make afraid of, if made by "differently coloured people" or by muslims. Is ironical that the first terrorist attack in Italy to this date was made by a right wing italian who supported Salvini's Lega, but is even sad that even my goddamn mother APPROVES what this scum did to innocent people just because of how their skin was. Meanwhile neo-fascist Casapound is partying for this. Bunch of scums. And I am even more ashamed that Lega is the main party of my region too.
It's disappointing to hear that Mussolini's spectre is still haunting Italy.
