• Millions of PornHub users potentially infected with virus
Pornhub•was hit by a hack that means anyone who used it could have contracted a virus. A secret, malicious advert has been running on the free pornography site for more than a year. And it works by infiltrating people's computer and then having their machine taken over, all without a users' knowledge. The problem was shut down almost as soon as it was discovered. But it has been running quietly for more than a year – and the damage could have spread across the entire internet. "The hack worked by showing an advert on the Pornhub page that appeared to be a browser or operating system update. That would trick a user into clicking on it and installing the software." Ive always used a mobile device myself to view these sites...
I can see people saying "use adblock/ublock lol" but the problem is that people usually view sites like pornhub in Incognito mode, which disables all plugins which includes ad blocking extensions. Most people are lazy/forget to enable adblocking extensions in Incognito mode, so that's their problem.
What are some other good sites where I can look at big goth tiddies :s:
"The hack worked by showing an advert on the Pornhub page that appeared to be a browser or operating system update. That would trick a user into clicking on it and installing the software." You're safe unless you're an idiot.

No, google isn't using in-site ads for updates dude.

wait there are ads that aren't viruses?
when will you guys learn
When have porn websites not had virus ads? Of course you have to click on the "your wife won't know, free single women" ad and download a malware file and run it. I feel like this news article is talking about something that has been happening since the inception of porn sites
"Pornhub was hit by a hack that means anyone who used it could have contracted a virus." should be changed to "Pornhub ads were malicious and anyone who clicked on them and downloaded .exe and executed that exe was infected." because first version sounds like there was some JavaScript with malicious assembler injection code which could gain access to root/admin of operating system.
That is a chrome problem. In Firefox private windows doesn't disable plugins
Not really a problem, just enable the extension for incognito mode. Also, why use incognito mode anyway?
I sleep better at night knowing someone checking my history won't see the shit that makes my pee pee hard because I forgot to flush it manually.
but what if you want to find the thing that made you hard last time?
Why is this one a problem after more than a year? Did they not know they were running it the whole time?
but what if you want to find the thing that made you hard last time?
I use an account to save stuff. I have a roommate so I don't really want to keep history

Every single time I've tried to use Pornhub I get flooded with popups that say "THIS GAME MADE ME CUM 9999 TIMES AND KILLED NAZIS" or something to that effect. The computer tested negative for STDs afterwards, but the fact that shit is just popping up without warning even with an adblock on has kept me away. I'm fairly certain it's not adware because it's ONLY on that website that shit goes south.
This is why I use my Linux computer for porn and everything else and my Windows pc only for gaming. This is surprising though as I have always thought pornhub to be pretty safe.
-oops misread-
but what if you want to find the thing that made you hard last time?
Remember what it was called and how you found it. Or you will be forever doomed to searching without success.
Remember what it was called and how you found it. Or you will be forever doomed to searching without success.
or throw caution to the wind and live the life of a free man by not using incognito mode
or throw caution to the wind and live the life of a free man by not using incognito mode
Sounds less cautionary when you can just go back and find the link in your history
make a disposable ph account for history and favorites that you always remember the password of and never write down any of it's credentials anywhere. Also, always incognito mode + no saving of passwords.
I can't say I'm too surprised. PornHub, and a lot of other sites, have this habit of running really shady ads. Like, "Blatantly steal the art of SFM / Blender porn artists and slap a fake game ad over it" ads. I've lost count of how many ads I've seen on PornHub and instantly went "I know for a fact that isn't a game, and I know for a fact they didn't get permission to use that."
