The Blackpool pair, who cannot be named for legal reasons, used the weapon on their five children for four months, Preston Crown Court heard. The "fairly trivial behaviour" punished included not changing a nappy, dropping items and failing to wash the dishes. Both parents pleaded guilty to five counts of child cruelty.

A couple shot their children with a BB gun...
Well, I guess it wouldn't be Sensationalist Headlines if we didn't leave details like that out of the title, now would it. Still pretty fucked up. Doing with a BB gun as opposed to the more "practical" methods suggests that they were getting a kick out of it too.
Yeah can someone add that little detail into the title please? It's misleading as fuck, I was thinking someone ACTUALLY shot their children with a proper gun.

Wonder if it's an actual BB gun or an airsoft gun If it's an airsoft gun, whatever, I took shots from those all the time as a kid If it's a BB gun, the kind with the metal .8's, thats fucked up.
its child abuse either way.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not disagreeing. I'm just saying, "BB gun" can imply a lot of things, from nearly painless spring loaded airsoft guns to those pump-up Ralphie's A Christmas Story type ones that shoot sharpened metal BB's. Its definitely abuse regardless but I'd feel a lot better if it was a $5 airsoft pistol rather than something that's gonna penetrate skin

[editline]e[/editline] Okay so are you going to provide a reason for that dumb? A strong spring and short range can definitely have plastic go into your skin. If you can dodge a BB you can dodge your chores.
It doesn't detail what he used, but apparently the BB gun was bought to shoot birds. It also says the rifle was designed to shoot pellets. Suggesting it was a proper air rifle which is probably firing steel BBs or lead pellets. I wouldn't want to shot by either
it's quite disgusting how anyone can go so far as to physically punish their children, let alone with a fucking bb gun horrid parenting, honestly.
The "fairly trivial behaviour" punished included not changing a nappy, dropping items and failing to wash the dishes.
Do it yourselves you worthless cretins, it's your job as fucking parents. In fact, why isn't the worthless cunt of a mother in prison as well? Community service is a light sentence given she was complicit and participated in this disgusting behaviour. These people deserve no mercy.

On the softest parts of your skin, like your ears and some parts of your handpalms, it could potentially get stuck in it, but even those are just a heavy bruise. The skin itself isn't penetrated.

Just to be clear if this really was a pellet gun for hunting birds then that shits probably going to lodge itself pretty deep inside you, especially if they loaded pellets and not bbs. Air rifles are weapons, not toys.
