Westminster Magistrates' Court heard that Naa'imur Zakariyah Rahman, 20, from north London, planned to detonate a homemade bomb and attack the PM with a suicide vest and a knife. A second man also appeared in court charged with preparing terrorist acts.
My dear Theresa is safe.
Considering the plot was foiled, I'd like a moment to appreciate how different the sketches of the suspect presented by the BBC and The Guardian are.

To be fair Theresa May and her government have and will continue do more damage to this country than this failure of a man ever could have hoped to do.

Not much into British politics but isn't Theresa May like.. Awful?
Not much into British politics but isn't Theresa May like.. Awful?
Yeah but not enough to die, plus if she's gone she'll be replaced by someone equally bad or worse
Oh god, the right one looks like Toki and William Murderface from Metalocalypse had a baby.
This guy is dildos.
Not much into British politics but isn't Theresa May like.. Awful?
Yeah she's pretty terrible- but her entire party is full of total scumbags so I don't feel like assassinating any one of them would make a smudge of difference. The Tory party is like a fucking hydra, every time one head gets chopped off (either via resigning or being pushed out obviously, not condoning assassination) another one will just sprout up from further down the line of succession, likely worse than the one before.
Not much into British politics but isn't Theresa May like.. Awful?
Absolutely no excuse for her being harmed.
Although the current government is doing their very best to destroy the UK I wouldn't want them killed
A successful assassination would only enshrine Theresa as a martyr. That's the exact last thing the UK needs. Same here in the states with Trump.
Not much into British politics but isn't Theresa May like.. Awful?
She is, but not in an especially remarkable way. She seems to have basically taken the role of fall guy for the brexit disaster so that the conservatives can go through with it and have someone to blame when it inevitably goes tits up. She called a snap election after she was polling favourably as a power play to grab some more seats for the conservatives, but floundered it and has basically continued floundering ever since. Aside from her political posturing and prioritising party over country, which is only too typical, the most uniquely awful thing about her is her pro-surveillance stance. I honestly don't understand why someone would want to kill her. She's awful, but she's hardly a rallying point of awfulness.
Not much into British politics but isn't Theresa May like.. Awful?
Pretty much everyone hates her, either because she's a Tory or because she isn't Tory enough. Half the country are mad she's proceeding with Brexit and the other half are mad she isn't brexiting harder. Her own party is frothing at the mouth over the idea that we just walk away with no deal and hope we'll be alright.
