Two Men Charged with Rape and Kidnapping of Missing Woman with Autism
GREENE COUNTY, Mo.-- Two men, one who is an undocumented resident living in the United States illegally, have been charged with kidnapping, rape, and sexual abuse after a missing 22-year-old woman with autism was found in Greene County.
25-year-old Luis Arnold Lopez-Lara, an illegal alien(top), and 23-year-old Helmer Alexander Erazo(bottom) were charged with two counts of rape, one count of sexual abuse, and two counts of kidnapping. Two other men involved also have pending charges.
According to court documents, the 22-year-old autistic woman walked away from her home the morning April 15 because she was upset and she left a note but it was unreadable.
On Monday, April 17 family members located the woman in a mobile home nearby with two Hispanic males, a third male was located at a nearby property.
The woman told law enforcement she was held against her will for three days inside and had been sexually assaulted. Using anatomically correct drawings the victim was able to indicate she was raped by Lopez-Lara.
Neighbor, Lindsey Smith says, “To have it literally be in our backyard and can throw a stone at these guys is horrible.”
Court documents indicate that the victim was walking by the mobile home in which she was held captive when the males were whistling at her, yelled " Hey pretty girl" and offered her alcoholic beverages inside the residence. One of the males tried to warn the victim to not come inside.
Smith is now concerned for her daughter's safety and says, “I haven’t let her ride the bus, I don’t want her out in the neighborhood, I don’t want her unsupervised.”
Lopez-Lara removed the victim's clothes and gave her different clothes. Lopez-Lara allegedly then sexually assaulted the victim multiple times, even after several attempts by the victim to escape and telling him to stop.
The victim told police she was drunk after Lopez-Lara had given her a beer to drink.
At one time during the three days inside the mobile home, the victim hid in the closet. Eraz grabbed her by the neck and held her against the wall. The males would not let her leave and told her they would kill her if she left.
The victim also told police they "starved her", the males provided her with "Mexican food" but she did not like it and was only given water, a bag of chips, and a candy bar to eat.
Smith describes what happened as, “Horrible, absolutely horrible. We’ve never had anything like this go on. We’ve never felt like we really had to lock our doors, lock our cars and watch our kids at night. Just not the town I grew up in anymore.”
According to the court documents, on April 15 a deputy called one of the males looking " for a girl", the man told the deputy there was " no small girl here."
US Immigrations and Customs were contacted to positively identify Lopez-Lara an undocumented person living in the United States illegally.
Thanks for the update. I had my doubts that undocumented immigrants were pre-disposed to being criminals and rapists but with quality reporting like this my world view has been successfully swayed.

This is pretty much how my thought process went when seeing this thread:
1.) Read headline, "oh my gosh, that's terrible!"
2.) "Oh look, Tudd posted it. I wonder why."
3.) Read OP. First sentence: "Two men, one who is an undocumented resident living in the United States illegally"
4.) "Oh, so that's why Tudd posted it."
Honestly, my first thought whenever Tudd posts anything isn't anything relevant to the news at hand - it's always "How is this pushing Tudd's agenda?"
And, without fail, it is always pushing Tudd's agenda.
Sometimes I have to wonder if Tudd is only able to fall asleep at night, because he's somehow able to convince himself that him sleeping has something to do with undocumented immigrants.

You can add a number 5 to that list: "Continue to make pointless callout posts and not discuss the contents of the actual event."
I'm glad they were caught. They're scum and they shouldn't have even been here. Now this woman's life is ruined.

Only one of them was an illegal immigrant, read the OP.

I did. That doesn't invalidate what I said.
Only one of them was an illegal immigrant, read the OP.
That's still enough to make me afraid of brown people!

So we're not allowed to point out when a user is blatantly only posting threads to push a political agenda?
I did. That doesn't invalidate what I said.
So what do you mean by "they shouldn't have been here"?
That's still enough to make me afraid of brown people!
If this is an attempt at speaking for me, you would be incorrect in assuming that's what I believe. That racist attitude does not correlate with my views.
So what do you mean by "they shouldn't have been here"?
The man who was here illegally should not have been here.
So we're not allowed to point out when a user is blatantly only posting threads to push a political agenda?
No, you're allowed to. It's just not productive and it happens every thread and gets quite old.
I really wanna give you the benefit of doubt Tudd and hope you're sharing this disgusting story to share it and NOT for your agenda, because if you were then at this point you're pushing your agenda with such "subtleness" that you're piggybacking off an actual rape to prove a "point". I do hope you can see how disgusting that is.
I really hope the girl is okay and is functioning enough to get through this. I can't even imagine what extra difficulty an autistic rape victim would have to get over said rape.
I, personally, get a boner when we all shit talk Tudd.

In my own opinion:
I don't want anyone to come out hating people based on race from this news piece. Just wanted to share it as a tragic story and people might see that illegal immigration does have real consequences.
Nobody has to adopt my view on the situation, but it is a real story, and thus how much you want to discount it on an "agenda" basis is a subjective choice for yourself.

Nobody said you were doing this to further the cause of racism. It is very clear, however, that you are doing this to further an agenda. Why else would you post this one specific case about a conviction of a undocumented immigrant among dozens of other cases where a rape occurs and the scum that did it gets convicted? It's called cherry-picking. There unfortunately will always be people who do bad things, just because one undocumented immigrant did something bad doesn't mean all of them will, or all of them could even have a tendency to do it more often then others.
Tudd, your words are as hollow as they've ever been. Every time, without fail, you shit out tons of threads that have the common thread of painting immigrants as villains, liberals as evil, or anything that anecdotally vindicates your alt-right (still hate that term) pro-Trump views. And every time, without fail, you defend it with 'I just want to have a good discussion!' when that's nearly not the case since you deflect or ignore any actual point made against you.
God I hoped you learned your lesson when you got banned, but that clearly isn't the case. And I hoped that Polidicks would keep your charged threads contained, but seeing as this thread exists that also doesn't seem the case.
What disgusts me the most here is the fact that you used a harrowing story like this to push your agenda. I can't help but feel utterly appalled when I can picture you sneering at this story like 'yes, this'll convince people how evil immigrants are!' What's horrible about this story isn't that they're brown Tudd, it's that this woman was raped and threatened with death for three days. I used to think of you as annoying, but now you just disgust me.

Well I totally post news from the opposite spectrum or would not likely be posted here by certain other users. I think we can already identify that since like a year ago.
I also can understand this story in a more comprehensive way than you might think I take it in. Most people just assume I have the worst possible opinion on the subject because I am the guy who posts the news that uncomfortably deals with these issues almost solely.

lol he was banned for a matter of hours, and was then made a mod as an april fools joke the next day. I'm sure he learned lots from that time-out.

There was a period where he was banned for a few days or even a week, I distinctly remember it because I got confused why SH was less shitty than it usually was, but you can't see it in his Event log anymore since he was mod for April Fools. This wasn't that long before April Fools. He also wasn't so bad leading up to April Fools since I assume he was in communication with the mods for the joke beforehand.

How exactly does posting threads solely to push an "Immigration has real consequences" agenda equate to "Uncomfortably dealing with these issues"?
Tudd, this isn't okay. You're literally using this story about a mentally impaired woman being raped and held captive for 3 days as a platform to push your awful idea about immigration and it's "consequences". As if a couple of non immigrants have never raped and kidnapped a woman. Do you have no sypmathy for this woman? For what she went through? Are you seriously so entrenched in proving that immigrants are some scary threat that you read a story like this and your first thought is "damn those scary immigrants, at it again!" Instead of basic human empathy for what this woman went through?
Im genuinely appalled.
Just wanted to share it as a tragic story and people might see that illegal immigration does have real consequences.
oh, it's because they're immigrants that they raped a woman, and not because they're rapists??
you are straight dogshit bro, get the FUCK off these forums
oh, it's because they're immigrants that they raped a woman, and not because they're rapists??

More so this situation was completely preventable considering the person was in the country illegally to begin with.
Still an awful person that is just as terrible as a domestic rapist though.

Yes, I do have sympathy for the women and anyone who has been raped. I also think the situation she was put into was completely preventable if our border situation wasn't such a mess.
That doesn't mean all illegal immigrants are rapists, but this is an element of a uncontrolled population that we have no idea what kind of people come over and if these people should be allowed in the first place. Not to mention the serious ramifications of stressors illegal immigrants can put on public services that cannot be accounted for in alot of cases.
More so this situation was completely preventable considering the person was in the country illegally to begin with.
if 5% of your population is rapists, and then you remove all of the illegal immigrants, 5% of your population is still rapists. that's because being an illegal immigrant and a rapist are INDEPENDENT.
Still an awful person that is just as terrible as a domestic rapist though.
I'm not convinced you believe that because, riddle me this—if one of the rapists was not here illegally, would you have posted the article? I can answer that—the answer is NO
More so this situation was completely preventable considering the person was in the country illegally to begin with.
Most definitely not, especially considering that one of them was here legally.
People ask why you do deal with solely these issues and are apathetic to other, arguably more significant issues.
Depends on what issues. Some people thought the Russian-Trump Conspiracy of collusion was a paramount issue for months until the Syria missile strikes. I observed the information, but I didn't care to post any topics related to it and I didn't really need to with how abundant some would post on it. Also I thought alot of it was conjecture, baseless, and extremely exaggerated.
But you know, I have different interests and get my news referenced from other places than the typical and I acknowledge that. People can discount my threads however much they want and that is fine too even if the news is undoubtedly real.
I just think it is silly on some of the reactions that have to repeat on here. Especially when I post quite regularly on actual Nazi movements because that is one of my interests, and I don't get any grand applause for posting news contrary to what a Trump zealot might wanna post.

Well in my opinion illegal immigrants shouldn't be allowed to stay at all. The only reason we have to have a measure of allowing some to stay is because the issue is so well-ingrained to our economy and some are undoubtedly a positive on our system now.

Probably wouldn't have popped up on the site that referenced the new's story to begin with, and that site is truly agenda pushing, so in a way sure.
But actually I have posted articles on rape before with no political motivation here.
Either way, the story is still true that I posted. I think the problem is that it was me who posted it for you though, and I rather just post it and everyone know what my bias is.

The tougher you make it, the more you're gonna make turn to coming here illegally. As someone who spent a lot of time in a small town in North Georgia I grew up with a lot of kids who were either illegals themselves or the children of illegals. The vast majority of them were good people who gave back to their communities and just wanted better futures for their children.
Most of the harm that's done by illegal immigration is all the money and manpower that goes into getting rid of them when that could be turned around and used to help them become productive citizens of the country their already in.
Good call linking local and state news at least lol, other outlets reporting on this are very much cherry picking and pushing their own agendas. My favorite in terms of obviousness is
Two Men Charged With Kidnapping, Raping Autistic Woman. One Of The Men Is An Illegal Immigrant.
as if the second guy is totally okay
I'm about two bans away from burning this thread down. Next post about Tudd gets a ban. Don't like Tudd? Want to rant about his posts? Go make a thread is GD about it.
I don't want anyone to come out hating people based on race from this news piece. Just wanted to share it as a tragic story and people might see that illegal immigration does have real consequences.
The fact that this person is undocumented has nothing to do with the fact he raped someone. Lack of paperwork did not make him a rapist, you're making a cause and effect where none exists.
edit: oh my god stop talking about tudd you idiots

this is not a response to the point I made at all, try harder
and that site is truly agenda pushing
being able to realize this is reason enough to stop reading that bullshit then. if I were you I'd be embarrassed to admit I was being indoctrinated to, let alone simply becoming aware of it.
Either way, the story is still true that I posted.
an individual article can be true. but a slew of true articles, all handpicked to contribute to a narrative, can give you an overall false impressions of a topic. so stop selling the "trueness" of your articles as something virtuous and using it as a get-out-jail-free card against everybody's criticism of you.
I think the problem is that it was me who posted it for you though, and I rather just post it and everyone know what my bias is.
you bet your asshole my problem is you. if this story was posted in SH by another user, I'd know it was posted there because it Made The News. if you post something, I know it's because you went way out of your way to find reasons we should hate brown people.

Do you... do you genuinely think this? That a rape could've been easily prevented if they weren't illegals and that we somehow have "control" over citizens(aka non illegals)?
You do realize she could've just as easily been raped by Micheal the US citizen, right? What makes you think the fact they are illegals has anything to do with the fact that she was raped? Why do illegals "putting stress on" public services have anything to do with this? You're intentionally changing the course of the conversation to further this anti-immigration stance.
A woman was raped, Tudd. She was held against her will for 3 days after her mental state was taken advantage of and raped. A US citizen could have done this, an illegal could have done this, literally anybody could have done this. The fact that one of them was an illegal resident of the US has literally nothing to do with the crime committed. The only reason it's even brought up by you and by the article is to "subtly" and disingenuously imply that illegals are predispositioned to violent crime. To scare people.
Please have some respect for her and stop pushing the anti immigration stuff. This thread should only be about her rape.
