This is really weird though because highschool gangs don't hang out in numbers that big. I suspect that when the teens are identified, one of them will break and rat out everyone else and the police will find out how and why they organized something so big for the purpose of stealing a few phones and bags.

Most people stick with hitting cargo in the yards though. The flash-mobbing of train passengers is becoming a bit more popular as their is less risk involved, and the crime of strongarming is nowhere near as bad as busting open a cargo's lock and stealing shit. :v:

Seeing something like this makes me pretty sad because you know its just getting worse. The fact that you get young people go out and commit a train-robbery is just an example of this.

There was probably more robbers than people to rob on the car damn. Being robbed on bart and at bart stations has happened to so many people that I know its ridiculous, and its always between berkely and fremont.

Back in high school it was difficult just to get students to show up to an event. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to get 50-60 of your peers in on something like this. There has to be something more to this case.

What these guys do needs to be quick; they can't hold up to try and get more out of one person. Getting a wallet and a phone is more than enough to be content with, then they move on to the next one. If they would be doubting everyone who doesn't present a super legit wallet/phone, they would get nowhere. And I'm also extremely doubtful that this is a 50+ pack of under eighteen years old junkies starving for a fix. Additionally, if they would be thinking "oh this guy doesn't use a smartphone -> he is a dealer -> must have loads of cash stacked in his socks" they could also be thinking "he is a dealer -> might be armed". Not that anyone would ever think in those patterns anyways in this kind of situation. Maybe in a situation where there is more time, but not this.

What happens if you're like me and often forget my wallet and it doesn't often have cash in it. I have a windows phone. Robbing me would be pointless I spose they could take my air max
