[sp]Petrol itself is toxic, but it's the effects of vomitting it that causes most issues since the body's first reaction to petrol content is to expel it, which can result in respiratory complications from the repeated presence of digestive fluid and petrol entering the lungs, pharynx and mouth. This strong desire to spit it out is because it can cause blood to be excreted into the digestive system, which although not "super deadly" in the sense of being envenomed by a Black Mamba will usually come alongside permanent damage to the organs. It'll give you all kinds of stomach irritation but there's nothing in it that's immediately lethal. Small amounts over an extended period of time will kill your liver eventually but it would take a significant amount to kill you fast.

It's not overtly toxic in that a sip will kill you immediately, but it will fuck you up pretty bad. The additives put in it to play with things like spark knock resistance, burn quality, the ones put in to clean and lubricate fuel pumps, injectors, intake valves, [I]that[/I] stuff is overtly toxic. But it's also in minute quantities. You might even be able to get slightly buzzed off the ethanol content in normal gasoline. IIRC it's stronger than most big name beers. Still not something you should be drinking in any quantities. It may not kill you today but you never know when its after effects will rear their ugly heads.
