I thought about posting this when it first hit the papers, but that video was freaking awful and cruel.
here's the full video:

I remember reading she broke her hip.
Turned himself in, yeah, after he was outed on every social media possible already. Definitely became the talk of the town.
Congratulations, you played yourself. Hope he gets his assault charges.

found this from another source
James's health is "delicate." She told WTVJ that she has survived three strokes and had recently undergone hip surgery. She had had a stent procedure last week.
Also found the sentence for the guy:
The teen was sentenced to three weeks house arrest for a charge of battery on a person 65 years of age or older, WTVJ reports. He was tried as a minor.
I get very angry when I see this kind of stuff. These kids were acting like fucking animals, and if she was my own mother or someone I loved, I'd be hard pressed not to get violent.
those poor dogs :(
Three fucking weeks house arrest for throwing an old lady on the ground and then into a pool while dragging two little dogs as well? Fuck off. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Not defending him, I would've pressed for a harder sentence but I think part of the reason the judge went easier on him was because he arrived to the police department in a suit and tie(A formal appearance/As well as turning himself in) to meet the judge for his hearing.

Three weeks house arrest for violently assaulting and almost drowning an elderly woman and her dogs? What the fuck is wrong with the world
I'm not sure what could make me angrier. those fucking animals
How is it possible to lack that much empathy? Does your conscience not stop you in your tracks and make you think how you'd feel if someone did that to your own mother?
The way he tripped and slammed her into the pavement really got to me, and the way he was dragging her into the pool whilst her dogs were tangled up. Fuck you, kid, fuck you.
I dunno what the hell is wrong with the kids who were there at the time, but how did a single one of them not step in and say "This is wrong, what the hell are we doing?"
I honestly don't care if he showed up to court in a tux, tails and a tophat this silly motherfucker picks this lady up drops her decides that's not enough and chucks her and the dogs into the pool and only gets 3 weeks house arrest? are you fucking kidding me?
Pathetic. Even more pathetic that nobody even attempted to stop him.
I don't know why this isn't a felony. If you assault someone 65 or older in FL it's a felony

To be honest, looking at the video, they were all acting like a bunch of frenzied neanderthals. I hope the person/idiot (depending on what he hoped to accomplish by releasing such footage in the first place) receives whatever is coming to them.
If people I regarded as friends did this kinda shit, I'd drop them so quickly from my life. Don't need to be surrounded by assholes who don't value another person's life / doesn't give a damn about how they feel. Those aren't the kinds of people you want to spend time with, cause that negativity is just gonna rub off on you til you're a self-centred fucker yourself.
Fuck peer pressure and trying to fit in with a group of people when the group of people you're trying to impress and get in with is made up of human garbage.

What kind of judge takes the plaintiff's spiffy-ness into account for deciding sentences?
fucking niggers man
