2017, Not 2018.
Let's hope they catch this gunman without further loss of life.

It's not the new year yet, that's tomorrow
Took a long time for non local media to pick this up, this has been an ongoing incident for about 4 hours now
Wanna bet this is some mentally unstable lunatic that thinks the solution to police brutality is to put officers even more on edge than they already were?
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office confirmed five deputies and two citizens were shot early Sunday morning. One of those deputies has died. The severity of injuries for the other six is unknown at this time.
The sheriff's office first told 11 News the situation was, "not looking good for us" shortly after the first shots were fired.
The shooting happened in the 3400 block of County Line Road. That's between Colorado and University boulevards in Highlands Ranch.
Why speculate something when it's clearly stated in the article what happened?

Not all cop haters are brown
Cause that doesn't involve a hateboner for brown people
What does this even mean
Cause that doesn't involve a hateboner for brown people
What the hell are you talking about? What part of that post indicated any sort of racism whatsoever?
No, seriously, wtf? Even if you go out of your way to inject a racial connotation to the post, the "mental illness" angle he used is usually deflected as being mostly applied to whites (in the context of shootings) - what part of that post could be interpreted as referring to "brown people"???
The post was moronic and off topic but if we could quit trying to paint each other as racists for no reason that'd be lovely.
Well this thread went into the trash rather quickly.
seems that's becoming commonplace for every thread that involves police officers now

Anything that involves cops or guns immediately devolves into shit flinging and racism accusations.
Move along folks, move along
Radio call for when the killed officer was taken to to the morgue. You can hear the sadness in his voice.

The source that was up when I posted did not indicate why the shooter shot at the cops. It saying 'Responding to a domestic disturbance' means little. Someone who's got it out for the cops is likely to call in a fake crime and domestic disturbances are incredibly common crimes, so it wouldn't be a stretch to report a fake one and lie in wait. When the only thing in the source at the time I posted that was 'multiple officers down at domestic disturbance call(They didn't even have a confirmation of how many were dead or if there were any civilians involved at all at the time)' there's not much to go on, and there wasn't any real reason I could see a genuine domestic disturbance call seeing so many cops shot so quickly. That was the first thing my mind jumped to to explain the events given what was available at the time.
Guy has chip on shoulder --> calls in a domestic disturbance --> lies in wait --> opens fire on the officers as soon as they walk in the door. Not a difficult train of thought to follow. And all of you seemed to think that I simply read the headline instead.
