It was a case that stunned residents in a small Oklahoma city earlier this year – a resident told police he shot and killed his neighbor to keep the man from drowning two young children.
On Thursday, a little more than a month after the shooting, officials announced that the case is closed – the Pontotoc County District Attorney ruled the shooting was a ‘justifiable use of deadly force under Oklahoma Law.’
That title confused me, I thought the guy killed his neighbor while also trying to drown babies.
Good thing the kids are too young to remember that, that'd be so horrifically traumatic.
Snip, didn't read article
(use of lethal force was justifiable on account of threatening not only the children but also their mother)

It will likely leave some kind of impression on them, even if they don't know why in the future.

It was the multi-tasking that got him off tbh. Anybody who can do all of that at once can't afford to have a criminal record stand in their way.

Unfortunately the same can't be said about the 12-year-old who went to get help.
I hope she gets help processing that event.

I dunno dude babies are impressionable. They might not remember it but I'd wager they'll grow up uncomfortable with swimming.
