Japan does passport colors based on the length of validity, 5 year passports are blue and 10 year are red. Which kind of annoys me because my son's US and JP passports are identical color.

I remember reading somewhere that this might cost us a few million just to roll it out across the nation, at the very least it was 15 million quids, possibly 150 million and I find myself asking "Are we gonna pay that before or AFTER the 350 million for the NHS?"
