According to Charlie's manager, he died from leukemia Wednesday morning in a NYC hospital. He'd been going undergoing chemotherapy. Charlie famously co-starred on "Chappelle's Show" in some of Dave's most memorable skits ... including the night he partied with Prince. He also co-wrote some of Eddie Murphy's movies, like "Norbit" and "Vampire in Brooklyn." He co-starred in "Are We There Yet?," "The Boondocks" and "Black Jesus." He recently toured with Cedric the Entertainer, Eddie Griffin, George Lopez and D.L. Hughley on "The Comedy Get Down. " Charlie's wife, Tisha Taylor Murphy, died in 2009 from cervical cancer. They had 2 children, and he had another from a previous relationship. Charlie was 57.
http://www.tmz.com/2017/04/12/charlie-murphy-dead-leukemia-eddie-murphy-brother/
Holy shit. I had no idea he was even diagnosed. I don't what it was, but there was something really likable about him. His skits on Chapelle's Show still get me goin
Holy shit. Really? What a tragedy. Charlie is a legend. This is really sad.
Jesus fuck, this was completely unexpected. R.I.P
i only knew of him through the chappelle show but he was an amazing story teller
He's beating Rick James up in heaven now
Jesus, this was so unexpected wtf
What a shame. I can't imagine how his children feel. Eddie too
It's so hard to find but the show he hosted on BET called Hot Ghetto Mess was hilarious.
That's a damn shame. He brought me more laughs than his brother. I really liked his character on Black Jesus. He was a dick but you knew why and you couldn't hate him for it because of how believable he was
Great, so now Colin and him both have been killed by Leukemia. Fuck Leukemia.
That last tweet though RIP.
oh i forgot that him and samuel jackson played the two white guys in the boondocks, they were hilarious
Oh shit I was just watching that very video an hour ago, fucking RIP.
Goddamn he wasn't even that old, I had no idea about the Leukemia. A close family friend died of it a few months ago too. From what I understand it can be treatable in some cases but it's still wildly unpredictable. Charlie was awesome, just as funny as his brother. He'll be sorely missed.

It's probably self explanatory that's a pretty bad diagnosis.
They might as well cancel Black Jesus now. [editline]14th April 2017[/editline] RIP DARKNESS
I guess that explains why he'd been looking so skinny lately
