Solo: A Star Wars Story is supposed to open in just a few months and Lucasfilm has yet to unveil a trailer. Or a teaser. Or even a proper photo of the cast in-character. We haven’t even seen an official look at Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo yet! Sure, this is all because of the troubled production and the extensive reshoots, but it’s been giving Star Wars fans grey hairs.
But now, international promotional art showing off the film’s characters has arrived online and it gives us a look at Han, Lando, Chewbacca, a new mystery character, and the Millennium Falcon.
It’s worth noting that these images have yet to be acknowledged by Disney or Lucasfilm, but we believe them to be authentic.
First of all, we’re looking at a young Han Solo, played by Alden Ehrenreich, who is wearing a snazzy coat and a snazzier smirk (I’m glad to see they resisted the temptation to just put him in a black vest again).
Off to his side is a young Lando Calrissian, played by Donald Glover. It’s not clear if he’s wearing one of his trademark space capes, but that high collar suggests that this debonair con man and gambler is still the best-dressed man in the galaxy. And also: that hairstyle!
Lurking on the edge of the art is Emilia Clarke‘s mystery character. There’s nothing we can really discern from this (is she wearing a fur-lined coat?), but her presence off to the side, looming over everyone else, suggests someone of significance. Is this the woman who breaks young Han’s heart and makes him the scoundrel we meet in the Mos Eisley cantina?
The Millennium Falcon is also present, but it’s not quite the hunk of junk we know and love. It looks clean and spiffy, boasting a fresh paint job and some splashes of blue coloring.
A Russian licensing site also has a new description of the movie. Here is a (very) roughly translated version:
The film “Han Solo” is the second film in a series of pictures about various heroes and events of the universe Star Wars after “Rogue One A Star Wars Story”, not directly related to the action of the legendary space Sagas.
Han Solo is an exciting story about intergalactic adventures, in which tells about the adventures of young Han Solo, about how he got into difficult situations and found an outlet from them, as he became the same a smuggler, a rebel, a bully, a hero, whom we all know and love.

And something I didn't give much thought to or whatever, someone claiming the Falcon's look breaks canon with some art from Force Awakens

Dear god, it looks...bad
fingers crossed though, things might still change, but I'm doubtful
this is gonna be so terrible lol
Donglover as Lando?
Huh, it kinda fits.
Can't wait to see how much of Red Letter Media's predictions come true.
I'm almost 100% sure this is fake. English text is never used in movie titles in Russia.
I still can't fucking believe this is actually coming out
this one's being written by lawrence kasdan, so maybe it'll be good? that poster doesn't look promising though

I know, it's going to be awesome.

I don't think this art is real though

With all the production issues this movie has been having it’ll be a miracle if it isn’t a turd.

Well it was almost completely reshot, so I think it's good.

You know, I'm not an ardent hater of star wars shit either but, do you have to defend every little thing that's put out that has the branding attached to it?
I was hoping they'd CGI Alden but if that's official then I'm gonna have to suspend my disbelief quite a bit for this movie.
I wonder Disney allowed them to actually use the criminal smuggler, Han 'Shoots-first' Solo in this or if they made him a hero to be family friendly.
Looks like a Fast and Furious poster.
how uninspired.

I don't defend BF2. That has the star wars name on it.

Looks like this might be either official, or a real good photoshop, as Emilia Clarke's character does have the earring that showed up on her character in one of the BTS images.
Han also has the scar on his chin.

While they didn't create the art, it could have been made by a licencee.
I like Emilia's look
this film is going to be legitimately awful and i think will flop hard
wouldnt surprise me if they push it back to december. if they don't, it proves that disney really don't care about it and would rather it be relatively low-key.

It's Star Wars, it will make a lot of money.
It probably won't meet Disney's predictions, but it won't 'flop'.
I don't defend BF2. That has the star wars name on it.
Yes you do.
Yes you do.
I've never defended it. I refused to judge it until it released.
And since it released I've been mostly negative towards it.
Now let's not derail the topic.
Not very excited about this, but then I thought the same about Rogue One at first and that ended up surprising me.
If rumours are to be believed we're going to get a trailer for this very soon, so hopefully we can get a better idea of just how bad/good it's gonna be.

We've never seen a stock YT-1300 in canon AFAIK, this could be how it looks before being modified.
[editline]27th December 2017[/editline]
Hm wait, according to TFA's Cross-Sections, the prongs were used to move cargo.
[editline]27th December 2017[/editline]
Maybe it's a modification Lando made
The falcon made a cameo in revenge of the sith, is this movie before ep3?
The falcon made a cameo in revenge of the sith, is this movie before ep3?
No (Han and Lando would be kids before ROTS)
That cameo isn't canonically the Falcon anymore AFAIK

Was curious since i believe that cameo ship looks as the falcon always does, and that would be confirmation of its design.
The poster looks like something for a Disney Channel original movie.
Can this and just make a Lando movie with Glover
