Both Momoa and Peyton have worked together before on Netflix’s Frontier. Peyton directed Warner Bros.’ San Andreas which ended up with a global box office take of $473.9M.
rather weird choice of actor but given this is being done by the director of Cats and Dogs 2 and a couple of terrible Rock movies it's not like this is gonna be very good anyways lol the video game movie curse lives on
Really? I mean, I like Jason Momoa but he's too big and bulky to play Rico Rodriguez.
If there's no scene where he slaughters a crowd of gun-toting, gibberish-spouting soldiers with four cows tied to a helicopter's rotor blades it's dead on arrival
First Rico was hispanic, then he became an italian, now he's a hawaiian
The big bad had better be tied to a propane tank and fired into a launching ICBM, destroying both and creating an avalanche that Rico must snowboard on before jumping off a cliff and wingsuiting through flaming hoops and landing on a yacht full of supermodels and dudes firing guns into the air in celebration I will have it no other way
just cause movie just cause. why Jason Momoa? just cause
If there isn't at least one scene where half a base explodes purely because Rico drove a vehicle into something remotely explosive, it ain't true to the spirit of Just Cause.
There was a Cats and Dogs 2?
Really? I mean, I like Jason Momoa but he's too big and bulky to play Rico Rodriguez.
I think he could be a good fit: Replace axe with a grappling hook and your good to go.
This is the first I've ever heard of a Just Cause movie. I hope it doesn't go the way all video game movies do. Then again the over-the-top action and absurdity of Just Cause should fit in just right with cinema.
Also this is almost certainly going to be PG13 so don't expect much hook impalement either lol
There was a Cats and Dogs 2?
Yeah, IIRC the dogs and cats teamed up because there was some evil doom ray turning every pet crazy.
Just Cause was basically a cheesy 80's action flick already, if we adapt it to a film we're going full circle.. I love it.
Not expecting a good story in this movie but goddamn i want to see some incredibly awesome special effects
Just Cause has a schlocky b-action movie feel to it so, maybe this will work?
This can't end well.
I hope it's not based on the first Just Cause. That one was pretty generic.
i hope it has BOLOPatch
IMHO if Antonio Banderas was younger i would say he should do it.
Also this is almost certainly going to be PG13 so don't expect much hook impalement either lol
PG13 is pure cancer.
It's not like Just Cause was a violent game. It could have been rated T. It was just ragdolls flopping around and minor blood spray
from a screenplay by John Collee (Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World)
then this shall be a film made for men; women will never be able to understand it
call me optimistic but if i recall james gunn's career was pretty unimpressive before doing guardians of the galaxy. maybe this guy can work magic....? i dunno it looks kinda bleak but I do like jason momoa
call me optimistic but if i recall james gunn's career was pretty unimpressive before doing guardians of the galaxy. maybe this guy can work magic....?
I wouldn't call them comparable. While Super had people pretty split it was at least an interesting idea, and Slither was just fucking amazingggg. Brad Peyton on the other hand has made three way bigger films so far, two forgettable and mediocre, and one that's just horrible. There's nothing optimistic about him imo. Like I saw San Andres but I can't remember anything that happened besides lots of buildings falling apart and paul giammati becoming increasingly more nervous

irrelevant the real question is who will play boooolooo santoooossiiiiii (leader of the revolutionary army known as the reeeee pahhhsss)
This is going to suck. Every single sign points to it sucking. Why be optimistic for it just because you like the games?
This is going to suck. Every single sign points to it sucking. Why be optimistic for it just because you like the games?
Because Just Cause had a dumpster gangbang of a story throughout the entire series. Literally the only thing that matters is if they get the humor right and ESPECIALLY get the action right.
Rebel underdogs overthrow evil dictators. Could make the movie under any name but no, they are going to tarnish everyones name involved when it goes under.
