With even more deadly creatures on the loose, Tremors 5 continues the films’ hallmark combination of adrenaline-laced suspense, explosive action and tongue-in-cheek humor. Michael Gross returns for his fifth appearance in the Tremors films alongside new cast member, Scream film series star Jamie Kennedy in this original release from Universal 1440 Entertainment, a production entity of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Tremors 5 will be released on Blu-Ray™ Hi-Def, DVD and Digital HD in 2016. The theatrical release of the original Tremors in 1990 combined suspense-filled action, sci-fi imagination and witty humor in the tale of a tiny Nevada town terrorized by giant man-eating worms known as Graboids. The Graboids eventually morphed into even more deadly creatures known as Ass Blasters. In this all-new adventure that travels halfway around the world to South Africa, the Graboids and the Ass Blasters are not only bigger and badder but Tremors 5 introduces an additional unexpected surprise that raises the stakes in the battle for survival. “The Tremors franchise has built a reputation for high intensity fun and suspense and this installment takes it to a whole new level,” said Glenn Ross, General Manager and Executive Vice President, Universal 1440 Entertainment. Michael Gross (“Anger Management,” “Suits,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Family Ties,” Tremors franchise) returns as weapons enthusiast and expert subterranean creature hunter Burt Gummer with Jamie Kennedy (“The Cleveland Show,” “Ghost Whisperer,” Scream series) as his new right hand man, tech-savvy Travis. The pair are joined by an international cast as they mount a battle against the deadly creatures that turns out to be far more than they bargained for. The film is directed by Don Michael Paul (Jarhead 2: Field of Fire, Sniper: Legacy) from a script by John Whelpley (Tremors 3: Back to Perfection, TV’s “Dallas”) and produced by Ogden Gavanski (The Scorpion King 4: Quest for Fire, Warm Bodies).
http://tremorsguide.com/michael-gros...ith-tremors-5/
Please yes. The best thing about this is that they literally can't fuck it up. The originals were so bad it's what made them good. Sounds like it's not going to take place in Australia like 5 was originally planned to be. Great to hear Gross is coming back too. Burt was the best character.
I have my doubts about Jamie Kennedy but I'll take it!
I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic, but even so, I'm rather excited.
Burt was my childhood hero forever ingrained in my memory
I wish Burt Gummer would have a cameo in The Expendables. He's such a great character.

"It's dead.... FUUUUCK YOOOOU" Best line from movies ever. Graboids are my life
I love this series. I got high hopes for 5. It's one of those rare franchises where the fact that it's so cheesy and bad makes it great, so there's no way of them really fucking it up.
Tremors 1 is a genuinely good movie though.
Tremors 1 is a genuinely good movie though.
Good characters, fantastic effects, clear cut story It was a gem
Tremors I was the best, Tremors II was pretty great, III was eh, and IV was surprisingly creative. Looking forward to these worms again. And Burt. Burt4life
Michael Gross is back. Will watch.

Burt4life
Tremors 1 was great because it was a legitimately great movie. The sequels, especially 4, were great because they were just so goofy and didn't take themselves seriously at all. Giant worm-alien-monsters fighting Cowboys and Indians? Sure thing.
AMC's having a Tremors marathon tomorrow.
If you're interested in the whole series, there's going to be a book released this December filled with behind the scenes info and interviews of the cast and crew. He only has around 1,200 likes, so it's a small community so he'll read every comment and probably reply to you. https://www.facebook.com/ActorMichaelGross

Tremor was a nice series. Can't wait to watch this new Tremor.
Michael Gross confirms that Tremors 5 will be get released October 2015. https://www.facebook.com/ActorMichaelGross/photos/a.729466040429468.1073741827.728990673810338/856785084364229/?type=1
So far Graboids and Assblasters are confirmed to be in it. I don't know if Shriekers or a new monster will be involved.
I loved these movies as a kid, my favorites were 1 and 2. I liked the others but I didn't like the switch to CGI with the graboids. The first two films had some pretty good effects, plus I am a lot like the Grady's character in real life. I am dying to see this film now, I wish Kevin Bacon would make an appearance as well as Fred Ward.
