First, you look for opportunities to join special closes groups. If you get an invite, then you wait for tasks. After completing a series of tasks, like getting woken up at specific times, making shallow knife cuts on your body, watching weird videos and the like, you move on to other groups and other similar tasks. During one of the tasks, you have to click on a link that gives you an error message - actually, this means that your ISP information has been grabbed. The people behind this "game" then contact your ISP and try to to obtain your personal information. Afterwards, they will threaten you into suicide, because if you don't do it, they "will kill your family" at the address they have obtained. It's easy to pressure a kid into doing something when they are already weird enough to get into this shit in the first place and lives of their relatives are at stake. What do kids get of this? The rush of dabbling in something dangerous, probably. A lot of organizators use specific Internet language, calling depressed people "biowaste", etc., that comes from Russian 4chan knock-offs. What they seem to get out of this is morbid pleasure and power.
