We forgot about Renovo until this week. You might remember the Silicon Valley-based startup for the all-electric coupe it was developing a few years back or more recently for the stunt they pulled with Stanford University where they converted a DeLorean with an electric powertrain and did autonomous donuts with it.
The company appears to have shifted to a focus on autonomous driving and they have now obtained a self-driving test permit in California
That title made me think I was having a stroke. Something about an "electric DeLorean autonomous doughnut stunt"
Welp, now I officially want a DeLorean. They can keep the PRV V6, unreliable boat anchor, but I think...mm, GM 3800 Series III SC would be fun in that if it would mate up to a manual gearbox!
I'm getting a 404 on the source.
Electric really seems to fit in with the theme of the DeLorean.
Finally someone is answering the important questions when it comes to autonomous capabilities.

litterally every other engine fits with the theme of the delorean, the damn thing was horribly underpowered
