What I just bought it in a bundle with Tooth and Tail
What I just bought it in a bundle with Tooth and Tail
Condolences to your wallet
What I just bought it in a bundle with Tooth and Tail
Owning it gets you a 10% discount off Tooth and Tail even if you get it in this free sale... hopefully they basically rolled the savings of all that into the bundle? If not that is a shame.
Got it. Neat-o bandito.
What is particularly good about this game because when I played it with a few friends it was kinda underwhelming.
What is particularly good about this game because when I played it with a few friends it was kinda underwhelming.
Some of the crazier stuff happens when the full breadth of the game's mechanics are used to a team's advantage. Things like holding a vent open while the other 3 pile into it while being chased by far too many guards, closely following behind a guard so you can get past a handscan door while his body is holding the door open, running away from guards by simply going around a single pillar so that they break line of sight for long enough to lose interest, everyone ducking into the bathroom while the chaos you had just created simmers down and then one of you decides to just start taking a piss into the toilet to break the tension and silence. Overall, a lot of the fun comes from using different combinations of classes and use items in order to clean out a stage. It's not necessarily a stealth game, getting caught isn't the end and you definitely have the health to warrant a few mistakes (and sometimes even deliberately tanking damage so you can more quickly get the money and get out). Sure you could play passively, you could play with the intent of never being seen by a guard, or you could stockpile coins to load up 10 or so shotgun shells and make for a very loud and violent finale/escape and leave your teammate to play catchup while you clear a path. I'd say at the very least get past the Discotheque Rogue, the 8th class is unlocked from then onward. If you had already gotten that far and it's not tickling your fancy, then I dunno what will convince you otherwise. The lategame stages definitely are designed for advanced/expert players if that's what you're seeking, the main (locksmith) campaign is considerably easier than the secondary (pickpocket) and tertiary (lookout and epilogue) campaigns so it might be a little slow to get to the meat of what I personally enjoy about the game. I can only hope that you enjoy that aspect as well.
