I'm surprised they managed to get everything to fit into a swastika. I had assumed when I read the headline they bent it into shape.

As an AZ resident myself, its incredibly common to have your shit fucked with when its out in the open like that. Many neighborhoods have most of their decoration on the roof to avoid problems like this. There are many crimes that don't ever really get pursued around here either that can be far worse (such as being told "you're SOL" by a policeman regarding theft)

What made that worse is that they had no home country which made them easy to bully. Nowadays it's just the same shit but for new made up reasons, like apparently trying to take over the world. They make an easy scapegoat for problems since they don't have a significant enough population to defend themselves.

Anti-Semitism extends beyond culture imo because of the fact that it's so common throughout history when Jews have lived under such drastically different cultures.
