According to reports from China, a little-known games studio and publisher known as Yunchang Game (云畅游戏) has obtained the IP rights from Capcom to develop the first mobile game based on Devil May Cry. Currently titled as 鬼泣:巅峰之战 (Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat), the mobile action RPG is expected to launch in China in 2018. Powered by Unity 3D, Yunchang Game is focused on the combat system, and confirmed there will be online modes, including team battles and real-time PVP.
MMO Culture, I think they're the only source as of right now.
My strategy here is to expect absolute shit, but it'll probably end up being decent.
Kinda odd that they actually bothered to obtain IP rights when China has a rather sordid history of making shitty bootleg games of popular titles without being legally reprimanded. It’s still incredibly doubtful that the game will be good obviously. This just means they can actually use Dante as a character instead of creating a new original character named Wong Tei with white hair, red coat, and fights with 2 guns and a giant sword in their new hit series Devil May Die
Here's your dmc5 leaks everyone! Looks great! :hypeisnotreal:
At this point, i think it's safe to consider PlatinumGames' non-Activision titles as replacements to Devil May Cry. I think even Capcom are aware that DMC's been replaced.
It's best not to hype anything until we know more of it.
Likely using it to get an idea of how many people are still interested in dmc to they can have realistic expectations for sales on dmc 5. Or they just wanted money idk.
It's gonna be a typical diablo-y game with levels that you can 3 star, shard based progression, and uninspired loot system Guarantee it
Don't forget the auto play
It's either a sign of DMC being a dead franchise or part of hype build up for DMC V
