At least 1,200 people have been killed and millions have been left homeless following devastating floods that have hit India, Bangladesh and Nepal, in one of the worst flooding disasters to have affected the region in years.
International aid agencies said thousands of villages have been cut off by flooding with people being deprived of food and clean water for days.
South Asia suffers from frequent flooding during the monsoon season, which lasts from June to September, but authorities have said this year's floods have been much worse.
Seems this sort of natural disaster will only get more and more frequent as time goes on.

Or news outlets are more eager to report about it.
This is legit terrifying. Bangladesh is both one of the world's most densely populated and flood-prone regions. Also highly vulnerable to rising sea levels. Events like this might cause the next great migration wave.

They will literally occur more often, if people report on it or not does not matter.
I'm not sure we can blame climate change on every bad thing that happens with the oceans and weather, the earth will fuck us up at any time regardless, we change the frequency and severity over time though.

Yes, because in the past the media has been hesitant to report on hurricanes that displace thousands of people...
Edit: never post when you're in a rush to leave sonewhere.

This wasn't a hurricane.

Hence the edit.
Either way, the media has never been shy to report on natural disasters.
