The N.Sane Trilogy, a remastered collection of the original Crash Bandicoot games, appears to be just the beginning of the resurgence of everyone's favorite, shirtless marsupial.
According to the spring 2018 edition of the License Source Book Europe (page 97), Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is coming to Nintendo Switch and PC sometime this year, as well another title in 2019.
Bad Reading, it isn't 100% confirmed
Really wish Sony would eventually release their exclusives to other platformers - mainly PC.
I'm never going to go out and buy a Playstation just for some exclusives, and those who already do want access to those exclusives have already bought their playstation. They're not going to lose Playstation sales if they release exclusives a year after release on console.
I'm sure I can't be the only one who doesn't want to waste their money on a console just to play a few exclusives I might be interested in. Hopefully if this is true, it might change things.

Sony doesnt own Crash
He has belonged to Activision for over 17 years now
Can we then mod Crash to be the dark souls experience it claimed it was :v:
I swear to fucking god, this would seriously be one of the most amazing things to happen to both platforms
Instabuy for me, fucking loved it.

Would buy it then skip the first one.

You do realize they lose exclusivity by doing that, right?
will crash end up in smash bros, yet again embarrassing PS all stars by stealing characters that logically belong in that game

Who cares? If they have it be a Playstation exclusive for a year, they're not going to hurt their sales. Those who wanted it will have gotten it on the console they wanted. Those who haven't aren't going to buy a Playstation for that one game.
It was nice with Tomb Raider because those who wanted to play it immediately got the Xbox for it then those who were willing to wait were still able to buy it on PC or PS4.

yeah I'm not planning on buying a ps4 anytime soon and no exclusive is gonna change that. there's no reason for exclusive games to not eventually go to other platforms, it'd only increase sales. I don't think I know anyone who's ever bought a new console for one specific game
I've been waiting for the Trillogy to hit the switch for a while. Get it there, and I can play it on the tv and on the go with no need to move files!

Maybe not one, but 4-5 yes. I have a gaming PC and a Switch, so any game that's not on these two platforms is an incentive to buy a PS4.
The PS4 is starting to tickle my itch with its exclusives. For the longest time it only had Bloodborne, but now I'm also interested in Gravity Rush 1/2, Ratchet & Clank remaster, and Persona 5 (I don't have a PS3).
Then there's a lot of them coming in 2018-2019. The Last of Us 2, Detroit, God of War, Spiderman, Death Stranding, Ni No Kuni 2, Dreams... Most might suck or be boring to me, but once 2 or 3 of these look fun to me, I'll wait for a sale and get a PS4.
Of course I'd rather buy them on PC but they know they got quite a few of us by the balls. Putting all their games on PC would mean they'd miss out on a ton of console/controller sales, not to mention the paid online.

see my thing is whenever a new exclusive comes out that I want to play all that happens is I go "oh damn too bad I don't have a ps4" and then I promptly forget it exists. want to make that sale to me? make the game pop back up in the news again a year later, and do it in such a way that I don't just say too bad I don't have a ps4 again

I agree, but if that's how I feel about the exclusives, then they probably aren't worth my time, even on PC. Buying them would've been an impulse buy. I'm not dying to play any of the games I listed except maybe Bloodborne. Like, if Persona 5 or Gravity Rush comes out on Steam I'm not gonna buy it right away.
Meanwhile the games I wanted on Switch aren't ones I promptly forgot. I thought I'd wait before buying a Switch but I kept thinking about Zelda. Same thing with Mario Odyssey and even Mario+Rabbids. So I bought the console.
i'd pick up another copy for pc if a modding scene develops from it. is the game made in unity?
Sony doesnt own Crash

To clarify, they also own Spyro as well, hence why Crash appeared in Skylanders before.
What's more, one of the Skylanders titles has not only Crash and Spyro, but Bowser and DK, to boot.
(That's ignoring the many Nintendo-exclusive Spyro and Crash games and the multiplatform titles of the 00s)
i'd pick up another copy for pc if a modding scene develops from it. is the game made in unity?
They're using an upgraded version of their in-house engine called Alchemy, the same engine they used for Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Skylanders.
You guys know this is the N-Sane trilogy, right? The one with the broken hitboxes?
You guys know this is the N-Sane trilogy, right? The one with the broken hitboxes?
Calling them broken is more of a gross misrepresentation of their issues. It's more that they're not perfect squares like they used to be, and react (unfortunately) more like actual objects :v: the issue is that, in a platformer like Crash, momentum and pixel perfect jumps mean a lot more so it makes certain sections much harder

N. Sane Trilogy is still a really amazing game and they did the original trilogy some serious justice. To have that experience on a mobile platform would print money
You guys know this is the N-Sane trilogy, right? The one with the broken hitboxes?
What's broken about it? Considering I played through all the 3 game without any issues (aside from a camera-related bug)

well as you know the crash games are like the dark souls of platformers, you should just git gud but in all seriousness, pc version please, i'd like to run the levels as Mario or Darth Vader or something stupid
Would buy it then skip the first one.
Not sure why this is getting so many dumbs. The original is hard as hell and not really in a fair way. The difficulty is smoother in the second and third.

Was pretty fine for me?

I wouldn't say it's unfair, older games often were more difficult. At least play it up until a point where you really feel like you can't get any further. Also, if you're struggling on the bridge levels, there's a slightly cheating way to do it that makes it a lot easier

Think of the money Nintendo will make from people buying replacement Switches after they start reaching the Bridge levels.
Crash was a major selling point of the PS4 for me, glad it may or may not be up on PC in the future, too. Shit, I may even pick it up for mod purposes if it ever comes out.

I fucking hate exclusives as a concept, but I can't really fault Sony like I usually do until Microsoft starts bringing the games people've been wanting for over a decade, now. Like, out of the near 50 games with Xbox Play Anywhere, maybe less than half are actually first-party in the first place, even fewer of those are things people are super excited by, and three fifths of those are still unreleased.
I'll be looking at Sony to step up when hell freezes over and Halo 3 finally moves to a platform where it doesn't pain me to play it.

It has only just occurred to me that Activision doesn't use Denuvo and does occasionally release dumbed-down mod tools for PC versions of CoD.
They're scummy as shit but modding Crash might actually be a possibility if it comes over, since it's not like they'll have a reason to lock it down, being a singleplayer game and whatnot.
The original Crash is only really hard if you're trying to go for 100% (which requires breaking all crates in a level without dying, and some crates are only accessible in certain levels if you've 100%'d other levels and there are also levels hidden with keys found in bonus games. On the bright side, the game does throw you a free save point every time you 100% one.).
The reason people struggle with the two foggy bridge levels is because they're not realizing that Crash has Mario-style physics where he can run over 1-panel wide gaps without needing to jump and you can juke the pigs by staying on one side of the bridge while running and then quickly shifting to the other side while jumping, as they home in very slowly. I noticed that people also tend to not be patient with the level design, which is designed to be taken at a slower pace than Mario or Sonic levels (kind of like DKC in a loose sense), which is why there is no timer.
