Sir Bruce Forsyth, the veteran entertainer and presenter of many successful TV shows, has died aged 89.
The former Strictly Come Dancing presenter had been unwell for some time and was in hospital earlier this year after a severe chest infection.
His long career in showbusiness began when he was aged just 14.
He became Britain's best-paid TV star, famous for hosting game shows like The Generation Game, Play Your Cards Right and The Price is Right.
He also presented BBC One's Strictly with Tess Daly from 2004 to 2014.
This is almost like if the Queen died

He'll always be TV royalty. 89 years of age though, didn't he do well?
But... Brucey is immortal :frown:
I don't think we'll see anyone else like Bruce. It was nice to see him, to see him nice :(
He had one hell of a run, though. Lived to a ripe old age, more than most of us could hope for.
I was watching all the footage of him on the T.V smiling at everything they were saying about him. Didn't see the headline until just now :/
Huh, I wouldn't have pegged him for 89.
very iconic personality.
r.i.p.

The queen is 91, it's possible she could pass away within the next few years.

Her mother lived until she was 102, and ol' Liz has lived through slightly nicer times in terms of available healthcare. Wouldn't be surprised if she still lived for another decade or two.

It's possible, but there's certainly no guarantee. Once you're in your 90s the clock is nearly up for most people, if it's not already up
A grand old man, will be missed
I genuinely thought he was way older though
Nice to see you ;_;

TBH Elizabeth's memory is probably going to overshadow that of her immediate successors, almost to the same extent as Victoria did.
Must be some variety show in heaven that needs a damn good presenter to host it all.
In the back of my mind I never imagined the possibility of Bruce dying.
Godspeed you magnificent bastard.
A TV legend. There will never be anyone else like him.
If there was one man i turly thought would live forever, it was bruce.
Bullshit.
I remember seeing him on Strictly recently. This isn't real right? :frown:

Recently?
His last TV appearance was on the Strictly Children in Need Special in November 2015.
I've a skewed perception of time then. He was still super lively when he was doing it anyway, even though it's been quite a few years.
