other tidbits of info:
10 episodes for the first season (what the shit, why didn't we get this with the walking dead amc?)
there's a prequel comic on the amc site, turn: origins, establishing the main characters pretty quickly, read here
sadly since i don't have hbo i can't watch game of thrones live and amc has some balls going essentially toe-to-toe with hbo on air times and season lengths, but i can watch this. also, being that i live on long island (about 20 minutes from the town of setauket) it will be interesting to see how they recreate parts, considering there are some buildings still around from the days of the revolution here.
Has anyone else been watching this? I'm really digging it.
I've been watching it.
Pretty good show.
oh man, and here i thought i was solo'ing it
of course i didn't see last night's episode so i need to catch up
I was going to watch the series, but after seeing the less than glowing reviews it got, I was fearing it would be an one-season thing and I don't have the time to dedicate to it.
This needs to get renewed. It's a great show with a surprisingly excellent and well-known cast, and it actually stays true to reality with some pretty fascinating historical elements.
But knowing how retarded AMC has been, revving up for a reality show shitfest these past couple of years, it wouldn't surprise me if they just scrap it. Unfortunately.

It would make more sense actually to stop airing in on Sundays if nothing else and move it to a weeknight. I'm sick of every fucking channel in existence thinking that Sunday night has to be the night when they have to air their shit.
No, it doesn't. In fact, things would go a lot more smoothly for us all if you would spread your shows out a little more evenly over the week.
I just watched the season finale, and god damn I hope they renew this. They've put so much effort into maintaining historical accuracy, it'd be a shame for this to be a "one-and-done" kind of deal. Where they left it off, lots of shit is about to get real.
Also, [sp]why'd they have to kill off the nicest Redcoat on the continent but leave Simcoe alive?[/sp] That sucked. In a good way.

these guys predict turn will not be renewed
though if hell on wheels can last a few seasons, and shit, if the killing can get renewed, i think turn has a chance.
so, late as fuck but
the show is now referred to as Turn: Washington's Spies and was renewed for a second season, set to premiere sometime this year, probably in the spring when mad men finishes.
good I started to like it half way through.
whoa this has a thread???
too bad I had to look through like 50 fucking pages of GD shit to find it
this show is fucking badass, I watched it in like 2 days basically a few months ago and I need more now
