Bitcoin is pretty expensive right now due to reasons.
It started rising when Japan officialy acknowledged bitcoins, then it got an extra boost today after that Kashkari guy started speaking.
i wonder how that guy that bought a pizza with like 1000 bitcoins way back when they were worth pennies feels right now
I mean btc has had a lot of peaks do you really think he would have held onto them for this long? Hindsight is 20/20 and realistically he would have sold way back anyways, well before this current high.
Remember: only buy when it falls. Not when it reaches a new record.
Remember: only buy when it falls. Not when it reaches a new record.
If it falls enough to be worthwhile
Remember: only buy when it falls. Not when it reaches a new record.
thank you captain obvious
i wonder how that guy that bought a pizza with like 1000 bitcoins way back when they were worth pennies feels right now
Someone else did this? It wasn't just me? I spent 40 BTC on a Domino's pizza right around when this started, and I haven't stopped regretting it every time I see bitcoin being at a ludicrous value. I can say that I've spent the equivalent of 68,000 dollars on a single pizza though, which is pretty neat.
was it tasty?
It tasted like a million bucks.
It tasted like a million bucks.
$71,160, to be exact.
$71,160, to be exact.
I'm going to remember that pizza tasting better and better as time goes on.
There's no point crying over not getting on the bitcoin wagon. There's hundreds of missed opportunities on the stock market every single day, and you don't worry about those either. That kind of hindsight thinking can get you down needlessly.
So what, itt'l be worth a fiver next week, and then 2.5k the week after? Or has it finally stopped weeblewobbling all over the chart like a drunken mule on a steamboat in a storm?

And for every person who has made money on bitcoin, there's a factor more who have been ruined by it. I don't regret never investing in bitcoin, it's a horribly volatile and unsustainable market.
I bought 50 euros worth of Ether back in January for the hell of it. It's worth over 600 now. Cashing in by exchanging it for Bitcoin and then Steam store credit :v: You really shouldn't get too anxious about the future and past values of these coins or you'll never sleep again. Buy some if you've got spare money, and extract some when you've made a nice profit.
Had 40 btc 2 years ago and lost them due to an error on my side Luckily I didn't invest anything, so I'm not that mad at losing that money and I already bought some stuff with them when I still had them.

It's a bit different than the knowledge and seed money needed for the stock market.
I had 0.02 BTC that I paid something like $5 for last year, just sold it for $32 So technically I've more than quintupled my investment :v:
I had 6 bitcoins that I sold back when they were around 300-700 bucks :v:
people miss opportunities all the time, don't kick yourself over them if you want to be getting into them though, then have a finger in every pie at the start when its really risky. even if a hundred of them fail, there's a chance that one of them could get big and you'll find yourself sitting on a lotta cash
Bitcoin feels like the opposite of other virtual currencies. You think it would be one dollar gets you 1700 bitcoins, not the other way around. BTW to anyone experienced with bitcoin, do you think it's going to keep steadily increasing over time, or have we kinda hit the point when it starts to peter out?

Is it worth it to invest in Litecoin? It's been going up for a while now, but it's still relatively cheap.
Is it worth it to invest in Litecoin? It's been going up for a while now, but it's still relatively cheap.
Only invest in it with money you're willing to sacrifice, and nothing significant.
has bitcoin taken over the world yet? I remember ppl saying it would.
ur friends happiness is priceless :)
It was fucking Brink of all games, there's no way that happiness lasted any longer than the time required to boot up the game.
i wonder how that guy that bought a pizza with like 1000 bitcoins way back when they were worth pennies feels right now
I can't remember exactly but he bought it with either 5000 or 10,000
has bitcoin taken over the world yet? I remember ppl saying it would.
Most of the transactions by value seem to be just speculation (made to make money via market volatility) and while some places let you pay with it doesn't seem to happen much, maybe because almost everyone who HAS buttcoins is hella stingy with them, expecting further growth to make them rich. So, uh, yeah, they are taking over the world in the sense it's becoming the new stock market equivalent to throw your life savings at and hope for the best, but it seems to be failing at the purpose of being an actually useful trade currency.
